Thanks for the warning! This stack will be top covered come fall and will not be touched until at least 18-19 season. Definitely a no go as far as insecticides, at least ones with chemicals. We try to keep er as organic as possible here on the splitsnstacks farm. Thanks, Ashwatcher! Yes, there is both shagbark and pignut in there. A lot of people around here only burn hickory, many I know prefer it over locust they say it burns just as hot but lasts longer. We shall see..it sure smells way better than locust!
