Problems with Quadrafire Skyteck wireless Tstat

    but that was in Feb....season almost over.....mine was fine all last winter til the end of the season..do you have a part # for the new transmitter? i called skytech and they wernt much help

    Hmmm. let me look. I wasn't here to talk to the tech and haven't had issues after repair. I will try to find receipt.

    I found 2 other receipts including the one where they came out for first complaint and told us that there was a wired t stat that I didn't want. On that receipt the transmitter number was SRV7080-109. Does that help ? I could call them on Tuesday and try to get more info.

    yeah thats it.did a little snoopin around this am and looks like this years E-2 stoves are only available with the hard wire t-stat....that SRV7080-109 looks to be the only receiver available and thats the one that has problems.....HHT musta got sick of people blowin up their phone.

    talked to dealer this am....no more wireless units,too many problems.

    IMO...You're usually better off hard wiring thermostats....way less bs to worry about.

    i agree,but thats what it was sold with,and doesent work,now i gotta run another wire in finished construction...the wireless was nice to find the sweet spot for it so the stove didnt kick on every time a door was opened,plus the display/screen is nicer than the wired one.
    no biggie,ill deal with it.....the stove is awesome!!!!

    just to add...my dealer is great and i can see quadrafire cuttin bait with skytech.skytech needs to make something that can transmit more than 3 feet and doesnt say "made in china" on it,its not HHT or Quadrafires fault for gettin a bad vendor.
