I went with the Echo PB-8010T. I actually had pretty much made the decision based on going with the local dealer, who carried the Echo and the Husqvarna and gave me the same price as the Big-box stores and also Chappell Tractor who gave me the same price but no sales tax. Still I went with the Echo and the Massachusetts dealer as he's smaller, will gladly service both my Ariens snowblower and Husqvarna lawn tractor and chain saw. He actually mentioned that flex tube, that some reports say it "may fail" depending on usage. I was ready to bring it up, as it is mentioned on Youtube vids, by Landscaper dudes. He promised if mine failed he would gladly replace the part. it's made to flex, but there is also a storage "hook" for landscapers to pack full trailers, that puts the blower tubes at greater than a 90' angle, which stresses the flex tube and may cause cracks in that tube with resulting air leaks.

I'm a sucker for a cool big blower with a carbon fiber frame. I used it yesterday and it was awesome!

I'll get plenty of use this Spring. I've got a large brush area I'm cleaning out and creating a landscaped rock garden/ground cover/flower garden which has been on my "to-do list" for about 40 years. :) Leaves have been falling and collecting here for that long as well. It'll be a huge chore to clear the leaves and get down to the soil. But if I can get it done, it will really make it a Good Housekeeping kind of front-scape for the house.

I'll perhaps create a photo album as I'm sure it'll take me the entire Spring/Summer/Fall, as I don't intend to make it a full-time job. Might even take me a couple of years, patience grasshopper, patience. :)
