I've been hearing conflicting stories of price gouging and rationing of pellets in Connecticut and Massachusetts.
One salesman said people can't buy a full ton because the store can't get pellets and another person said stores are setting their prices over double their cost (around $400/ton).
    Has anyone seen this?

I bought a Ton of Green Supreme Allegheny Hardwood at Home Depot in Wareham, Ma on Sunday Morning 2/13/22.
Cost me $239.00 Self Pick up.
Think it was the 3 Ton Price But I wasn't complaining.
They had 87 Tons in stock (according to website)
They didn't limit me to less than a ton.
Best part was that by the time I paid at the service desk and drove around side of building...they already had the pallet on the forklift and had to wait for me. Usually I have to wait for the forklift operator and a safety observer to show up. It can take as long as 1/2 hour. I was loaded, strapped down and out of there in <10 minutes.:D

    So no Gouging There.

Do you have any locations that you are concerned about? Narrowing down the search criteria could help with people who are willing to put boots on the ground.

Oxford Mass is where I heard about rationing. Connecticut is where I heard about the price gouging.

This has been the toughest time to secure pellets in recent memory.
    And getting worse.

Just wait until next fall. What is cheap today and available, won't be next fall.
