Yup, those chows are burning very hot! I would love to know if you get the same results from them.

That's cool about the price of GTs being the same. Up here they are $6.98 per bag, currently. Yeah, $350 for a ton of Greene Teams at Lowes.

I used to only burn the GT's until Lowes jacked the price to $279 several years ago. I won't buy pellets there anymore as a result.

Same feeling I got from both Lowes and Robbie at GT.

Nope. I only made it to two of the four by me. But I will be hitting up one on my way home from work tomorrow.

If they have them, I will grab a few bags for you.

Stopped by HD to grab some more PTL softies. Only 4 partial / damaged bags left, so I snatched them. They had just gotten a delivery of chows and there were two tons open by the service desk for taking loose bags. I took a peek and saw loose pellets in between the bags that were very dark in color, just like the ones I already have. Had to grab some of those too, didn't I? Pick up 10 bags and head over to the lawn and garden checkout with a $5 off $50 purchase coupon. The 4 partial bags of PTLs were supposed to be 1/2 price. The kid keyed it all in, it was so darned cold I wasn't even paying attention - swiped my card, and left as fast as I could load the bags into the car. Got home and looked at the receipt. The 14 bags rang up at $33. I looked over the receipt to see what happened, turns out the the 5% off $50 was applied correctly, then the 4 bags of PTLs, but when the 50% off was applied, it was taken off the entire purchase instead of just the PTLs!

I filled the hopper with PTLs tonight to see how they would perform in the 20 degree overnight temps. Feed rate set just a tad over 3 and the stove is at 500 degrees. These things really crank out the heat, and they burn very clean too. Already regret not getting more.
