    This time of year you might be able to find an in-store 22-ton unit for $699.

    Don't necessarily care about waiting for a ship-to-store shipment. Care much more about price and quality.

    Unless you don't want to tow it further than around the yard- it's laid out pretty nicely.:thumbs:
    Only issue I see is "catching" the wood on the other side of the fixed wedge...

    Well, whatever splitter I eventually get I plan on strapping to a 5x8 utility trailer for any road transport. Either that or widen the axle significantly & use actual greased bearings, install car/truck tires and lengthen the frame (for viewability behind the towing vehicle) on the towed splitter so it's safer, even if only at 45 mph.

    I like the trailer mount idea...I've considered that as well...just no trailer here:whistle:

    I've also thought about mounting the splitter assy on the front of my utility trailer with an engine and hydro tank relocation. Food for thought anyways.
