Yep it is all lodge pole pine. The ends always start to turn color like that when sitting out for awhile.
I see you got a friend helping you on the splitter and even got a layer started in the shed behind you Way to go.
Yes, ma'am. That is Mike, our friend and neighbor. He went with us back in the spring on the big clean up job, 7 dump trailer loads of logs, and helped Monday and Tuesday. Great fellow.
Thanks, buddy. It did feel great to be back on the wood yard. No sir, had to get that big limb down before building the shed, started back nite shift Wednesday and Thursday. I will get started soon. It is some nice HEAVY wood, full of water... Sending you a PM
Scored some ash from just down the road from me. Never hurts to ask permission to cut up some downed trees!
Some serious wood in that tree. Welcome to the FHC club TCintheOzarks Nice to have you join us! We love pics and lots of them!
NICE tree, that will be quite a pile of wood when done. Welcome to the club, great bunch of folks here sharing knowledge and humor.
Thanks all for the welcome. Yes it was a very large tree and I hated to see it come down. Haven't counted the rings yet on the trunk but there is a lot and all very close together. It did make pile of wood.
