Your woodland looks pretty cleaned up! How long do you think the ash has been down?

I spotted the bigger one as its 50 yards behind my shed about a month ago so it had to be right before then. I always recognize changes as im always looking into the woods, at trees etc.

I have put some old tin under a couple of our woodracks that are near an area that has bamboo. That stuff will grow up through it.

Tin under the stacks, is kinda what it got me to thinking about. Weed barrier of sorts. I got a couple piles of rounds with sandburs growing up around and through them. I hate the little things. Every time you move in them you are scattering/planting more of em. Very difficult to control because it’s basically a grass, unless you just kill everything

Note sure what kind exactly but I haven't noticed any hard crunchy cones yet.
Yep, they all will be Swedish torch/candle - whatever ya call em'. Dad said he didn't want it for his fireplace and it was too knotty for me to mill.

Finally cut a couple pin oak logs this weekend. The two smaller ones at least. They’re between 36-40”. The last one is 54” at the butt. I sure like running the 441. The 25” bar is too small for the big log so I bought a 32” bar and hopefully it’s not too big for the saw.

They would get the isocore right were they fell off the log or pushed with the tractor.

I have a 32” bar I run through hardwoods occasionally with the Dolmar 7900, which is a little bigger than your 441. I think you’ll be fine as long as it’s for occasional use. Make sure the oiler is keeping up.
