We've got a ms211 cb-e at the cottage. I cut maple oak birch and pine with ours. I can't even imagine what a chore cutting all of that large locust would be with a 180.
This is one of my favorites. Literally next door, drove the 4wheeler and loaded as I cut from this pile of ash. That was 2 days off work, just bucking it, I've yet to split it, but that will happen soon.
this was a wood deck i scored back in late April. I was able to cut ten PU fulls out of it. Didnt cut there in the Summer due to heat and work. It was gone last time i went back.
it WAS a nice score. campinspecter ! Wish it was this time of year or colder when i scored it as id be all over it. Its just me, my PU, chainsaws, and a couple axes so i cant produce quantity fast and at 51 my body is starting to feel its age so 2-3 hour making firewood sessions are the norm. Plus i have over triple the quantity the wood i normally do which makes the logistics a lot tougher. Lots of times the wood has to be CS prior to bringing more home.
Every time I see these pictures I am again impressed with your industriousness and work ethic! Also, your highly capable wood hoarding van!
Yes it was. Two large ash trees that my neighbor had to have pieced down by saw mounted on a hydraulic arm/ grapple. No idea what that machine is called, but it was slick. I saved my neighbor money and I got a lot of free wood. This is a picture of their equipment. Not the property or trees I got, but this is what it is.
There is a lot of cool equipment out there, eh Hork. Mecanil Grapple Saws - A Breakthrough for Tree Removal - KBT
