Here is the fast one... Bought this new when I was 20 and in the Air Force. Wont ever sell it, a few year old race bike (or ATV) aint worth a whole lot anyway, regardless of what is in it lol.

I don't have any of my pictures on my laptop, or I would directly load them.

Recognize that quad on the left, that was at a super moto national qualifier in 2006. Kicked some arse that day... Got my pic taken by a magazine a couple times, don't know if I made it in their publication or not.

Love those big reds, we had three wheelers since I was a baby and that's what I grew up riding. Had a lot of good times on those and have the scars to prove it. My favorite scar came from trail riding and flying around a corner, didn't see the vine hanging down and it caught me right above the handle bars. Ripped me off the bike and cut my chest and stomach left a pretty good scare. I was lucky that the vine wasn't higher and caught my neck.

There is definitely something special about the trikes. I grew up around them, but never had one myself. When I got older, I started buying the stuff I wanted as a kid but couldn't afford or have at the time. It doesn't matter if it was a happy meal toy, a paintball gun, or an ATV, if I wanted it then I try to find a way to make a home for one now. And on a serious note, I do my best to not get attached to anything, just enjoy it and the memories. My wife and kids are where my world begins and ends.
I don't typically share my "stuff" on the nets, but this site is a little different :).

It is different... but FAST. There wasn't a huge turnout, but the guys there were national A and B racers, and one of them was an EDT/ TT Pro. Got arm pump worse than I have ever had it, when the asphalt was dry you were wrestling the quad in and out of the turns. You were either on 2 or 3 wheels, and smoke coming off of the tires in and out of the corners. The straight-way on that track was good for 60-70mph into a hairpin turn. I went azz over Christmas tree once in the first moto too, couldn't get slowed down enough lol, brake fade was a real issue as well.

I would bet it is fast and arm pump would be an issue. We do a lot of paved road riding around here and it's definitely a lot different. I'm far from pro status but doesn't stop me from having fun. Getting close to vet class now.

Yes I dont usually share much on web either. Here I show more than most places. I still dont tell or show all.

I wish I could find a decent shape big red. Not restored but in good ridden condition.

They bring as much as a more modern 4 wheeler though. I have $600 or so in my 300trx. But I got it from a buddy on a deal that he passed on from getting a deal himself. He ride it and used it for years then sold it to me. I paid about what he did basically 4 years earlier. He got a trailer in the deal but kept it. I did not want it or need it. I paid him $500 for it. Needed a grab rebuild, battery , master cyl rebuild and it was ready to ride.

Nice pics, and nice quad(s)! Looks like you have good taste too lol. You look like you are set up real well, loving the Floats too! Probably the nicest suspension I have ever tried. I did the mx thing for a while, it was fun but was further to drive for me, more $$, and I didn't feel 110% doing it like I did with flat track and motard. You were grabbing some real nice air in the last pic!
Seems like the industry has really slowed down in the last 5 years, like it is starting to regress to the late 90's or something. I think a lot of it has to do with guys not having the money for it, and the factories not spending the money to support it. I didn't realize Suzuki stopped making a 450 until earlier this year (2008 was it, and I think ended at an early production run on the ltr).

BTW, how do you like the fuel injection vs. the carb? How about the second gen YFZ vs. the earlier YFZ? Never been on the new one, my last race was in 2007.

Thanks for the compliments. I've been into mx forever. These are my 5th and 6th bikes. Always had Yamaha besides a zuki 450. Not sure why but always felt better on the yami's. I do like the fox floats, kinda tough to set up, but once they are dialed its heaven. I prefer PEP but they are serious $$. Back in 04,05,06 the sport was hot! Now it's almost non existent. There is NO money to be made. All the traveling, gas, parts, track fees, ect. It's a loseing battle. That's why I don't race anymore. However I love to ride still. The fuel injected is my favorite bike. Fits me perfect. Great throttle response, power to weight, ability to maintain and comfortable. However I keep breaking the aluminum frames, and the electrical stuff can be tricky. The carb bikes are much more reliable, and parts are much cheaper. I love them both for different reasons. Will never get rid of them!

Awesome post man.. glad it wasn't just me that noticed the sport taking the direction it has. Thought maybe it was my imagination, since I stepped away for a bit. I do place a lot of the blame on the AMA... for more reasons than I care to post lol, but no doubt in my mind that the economy (at least locally) has taken a real toll on ATV racing too. Good chatting with ya, I would be more than happy to chat with you about the sport anytime.

Racer and rider only here as well.

Wow.... Just seen Brians bikes for the 1st time and he has been a member for awhile!!

Brian- Awesome Yami's! My first "real" sport bike was a 97 Banshee (Blaster didn't count, nor did the other 10 bikes before it). I was 16 yrs old and thought I was king chit! I only have a 400 ex now and my son a 300 ex. Never pushed him into racing, as I hurt myself to much. Rode bikes from about 98-04. I had a 1998 CR 125, then a KTM SX 250, and finally a Kawasaki KX250F.

From the early 90 ' s (Jeremy McGrath, Jeff Emig, and then on into Ricky C and James S.) into the early 00's. Things were real good. I still watch a little motocross here and there, but only know a few names.
