Mine is a 400, bought it in the Spring of '93 with less than 60 miles. It was too big for the seller's grand kids, I think I gave $4200 for it (list was around $5500). I used it mostly for hunting, been living at a buddy's farm since I got it.

Last winter I had a mid-life crisis and came home with a Polaris Sportsman 500, bought the trailer this summer. I think I have put a total of about 45 miles on it in a years time!:D

My ranger here is used a lot, love that thing for around the house. And just got my girls the little atv, might put it to use and let them help with moving some firewood.

My foreman is a 500 class(actually less) but it will run 58 with my fat azz on it.
All of them are limited by traction when pulling, best to just run the tires bald and then find an upgraded or pulloff set.
If you do any asphalt driving the fronts will go first - like the bologna skins on mine right now:emb:

I think I was at 65? My 300trx goes 45 with me on it and seemed way faster than that!

I ride a lot of asphalt...probably 75%. My stock dunlops were toast in about 800 miles. I've put 1000 miles on my bighorns and they still look pretty much brand new.

1987 Yamaha Big Bear, just turned 400 miles today. My uncle bought it new, and rode it to his hunting blind. My father bought it from him, and used it for the same purpose. It had 160ish miles on it when I inherited it. I use it at least a couple times a week year 'round, and rarely for pleasure. The only reason I kinda want something newer is because it is a beeotch to steer with the plow on, and backing that little trailer up is dang near inpossible.

Yeah it's time for a set of fronts - can't justify the rears though. I just noticed my mileage is at 1012, I bought it with 120 and 20hrs.
Most of it lately is up and down the driveway with the trashcan or up the drive with the trailer to the wood pile.

When it's nice in the spring Gf and will load up on a late night ride down the national forest roads shut it down and listen to the Whipperwills stare at the stars and wonder if sasquatch is going to come out of the woods at uso_O

I've probably said this before. But I want one of these. Not as much for fun. But for working with. I find that just as fun. What a wood hauler that would be! With a power dump bed!

A friend of mine has a 6 wheeled Polaris. He uses it to scrape a small drive and for hauling tools around his place. I have been trying to trade my 3/4 truck for his Polaris. He has thought about it a couple of times but never jumped on it yet. I would put an electric dump on it and all I would have to do is cut all day and my woman would drive and dump the wood. Right now I use a Honda foreman 400. It does a good job but loaded down with wood it spins on the steep hills.

The Honda got some new shoes:thumbs:
Found the brand new on CL 12miles up the road, guy sold his Rancher and people wouldn't give him the extra money for the ITP wheels and Bighorms - so he sold it with the originals.
