When I saw your load, it reminded me of 2011 and the 14 weekend trips we took to the cabin site, during the build.

It really is. We had a 100 mile drive each way on good weekends. Truck and trailer looked like these pics on most of those trips. Bad weather pushed us into October before it was buttoned up. My son and SIL were willing to give up all of their time off to work all summer and fall to make this even possible. Daughter was very pregnant at the time with her first baby. SIL didn't have much time from August on. My son really picked up the slack and bulled hard to get things done. I would spend the week or weeks, in between the on-site weekends, pre-cutting and prepping as much as I could at home, to save as much time at the site as I could. That worked well until we got to the roof perlins (just 2x4s) across the 4"x6" rafters. Things slowed down then because everything had to be done entirely on-site then. We had a generator there that could run my old air compressor, so air nailing helped a lot. All of that gear was hauled back and forth. Roofing was screwed down. We also built an outhouse out of scraps. It was a lot of fun, we drank a lot of beer and watched a lot of fires in the pit. It was our family getting it done so I know that made a big difference to my 2 sons. It's their cabin, and that's exactly what I was going for.

It is work but it sounds like that was a good family bonding project.
I don't mind helping my daughter and son-in-law out but, I don't care much for, gathering, loading and unloading, putting away all the gear n tools I need to do what I need to do.
