    Have not seen nick's or whites before that I have noticed at least. Are they any good and do they have steel shanks?

    They are custom made...measure your foot and draw an outline type deal. You tell them what you want corked or not I guess? No safety toe or steel/ composite. Sure there is a steel shank. Nicks look like those to me and whites look just like those but I am no boot expert or had any myself. They are custom like $400 or more boots though. Google them.

    Seriously now. Under the plywood is a rubber mat that is 3/8ths thick and covers the entire bed. I will remove the plywood and mat soon, fire up the leaf blower and do some "Spring cleaning" on the Subruban. Under the mat the carpet is perfect but then, the dogs aren't really picky.
