savemoney hows the TV viewing at the Red Barn?

I'm drawing a blank on game/seafood/fun time places, maybe because the places I frequent on the seafood side either are closed at that time or don't have TVs.

I also haven't tried the seafood at the Bray's Brew Pub in Naples, they do have a TV or two there and plenty of beer. They might show the game. Naples is an easy drive from PWM it is on 302 you would take 9/22/114-11/302-11. you would be going along the west side of Sebago Lake on the trip http://www.braysbrewpub.com/menu.html .

DiMillos does have good seafood, you would be eating on a boat, not sure about the game.

Red barn is really better as a take out, or fast seafood place. But their lobstah rolls and chowdah are hard to beat.

I'm going to look into Dimillos, saw the menu and I drooled on the dog for a change.

Was that a while back? My daughter says there's so many good places to eat there now, they'll never get to all of em... ;)

Not really. There are decent places to eat there but I've had better out of the City of Portland. As for seafood we would buy it and do our own cooking more than eating out. BTW I lived in Portland from 1968-80 and again from 1991-2007. There are more restaurants in Portland than just about nobody could get to all of them. They form a revolving door one or two closes and another one or two open, its been that way for a long time. Getting into the restaurant biz is easy, staying in it is a different matter.

That's for sure... the restaurant biz is a tough way to make a living. Unless they're lucky enough to have a fresh food store next door and a constant in and out the door customer base... I don't know how any of em do it. Maybe that's why it seems like Portland has so many places to eat... they're always changing hands.

Yes! Not a hoagie, not a grinder, not a sub. An Italian is an Italian like no other!

    The or
the original is all I want. I have to say we have a "Damon's" and "whippers" in Augusta tha I prefer over Amato's. It's the excellent bread they use an bake. Always the freshest bread ever. We my parents had a store with a deli in it, we bought our rolls from Damon's . Got a lot of comments because They were filled up good. The author, Stephen King would drop in and order a few sandwiches.

I'd bypass both for my personal favorite - Roast beef, provolone, lettuce, onions, extra pickles, light mayo S&P... I've got "people" that make them extra gooder:rofl:

    FWIW their pizza sucks.

Get a "Pazzo" bread if someone craves something like that. That was Dominic's rendition of Little Caesar's "Crazy Bread" - Crazy=Pazzo in latin

Anybody ever eat at J's? Hows that compare to the other spots? The only other place i have eaten at was the restaurant on the boat. Wasnt impressed for the price.
