    Ma not be the fastest 50cc but I don't think I have held a lighter more use able 50cc firewood saw. For the $$

    Joe I'd love to get together and run some saws! I totally agree about the 490. Everyone I let run mine comes away impressed! And its isn't even ported just muffler modded.

    Our SAR group has two woods ported pro class 50cc saws, one stihl one husky. They are lighter and hang with my 576AT up to about 10", after that I start pulling away. There truly is no replacement for displacement when the situation requires it.


    For this shin dig I had my rebuilt 395 pulling full comp LGX. The 50s were cutting cribbing while I was limbing and cutting back to the subjects. I grabed a 50 for cutting the notches for the high lift though, easier for precision work.
