Cut up a few logs, but the rain started, so I came in. Almost dark, so pic may happen tomorrow.

Works out a lot better than having to drag the stuff out of the Woods :tree:

Heck yeah. This is a lot less work, and time.
I'd still like to get back over to SisIL's place for some Oak, but not with this pile o' logs sittin' here.

So, I'm almost in the Jeep, headed out to meet my brother when he showed up again. He said on Fri. that he probably wouldn't be back 'til about Wed. Today's Monday, right?:hair:
Some Maple, but mostly Spruce. Nice looking wood.Too bad I don't have a mill.
Another load coming tomorrow, maybe. I think my idea of being done with this for the year just flew out the window. Putting everything else on the back burner for a minute or two to try to get caught up a little. Which puts me behind on other things.
As "they" say, "be careful what you wish for.........you might just get it".
Sisinlaw might come over and put in some sweat equity in exchange for some firewood.......next year, when it's dry.:dex:

I'll guess close to a cord. I've not yet been able to process a whole load yet, before another shows up.
    I know, tough problem, eh?:whistle::D

Well, true to his word this time, another load showed up about 11:30 this morning. He said it's Boxelder, and they're all fairly small. Should be much easier for me to process.
The rounds to the right are from the last load........didn't get much of that one done, but made just enough room for this latest load.
There may be one more load coming, but this might be the last of it until next year.
I went to the store in town and got him 3 18 packs of Busch Lite yesterday for these last 3 loads.
Don't know the year, but that's an F-250 Powerstroke, for anybody interested. Pretty well beat to heck and back.

Just about 1.2 hour ago while I was in the shop, I heard a rumble and thought it may be power company crews (they've been putting in new power poles and transformers), so I went out to check it out as the noise was right outside the shop door.
The little bobcat the tree guys use was dumping another load of Poplar. I counted about 20 or so logs an average of about 10" dia. Most is nice and straight, so should be easy processing. Kid always gives me grief that I don't have it all CSS every time he comes by. :headbang:
    To prove it happened..............

Maybe the kid would CSS for a few 18 packs? Nice score, it’s nice when wood comes to you.

For me, just a few warm months.
I'm just about out of Poplar for this year, but it's still doing a great job keeping the house more than warm enough.

Does it burn similar to pine? I can get 4 - 6 hour burn on a stove full of pine. Maybe more if i cut 22” hogs for my three cubic foot firebox. Iv held pieces of poplar lumber in the home stores and it feels really light, if i had to guess i would say it burns even faster than pine. Iv got three good size poplar trees at the quarry, just wondering if i keep them, keep them separate from the hardwood or mix em in. Im guessing i wouldnt want to mix it in with wood im selling.
