    I think Turbo means that maybe they should be un-finished....then the moisture would just soak in.

    Probably need felt or something non-slip on the bottom.

    Well folks thanks to fishingpol mad skills we have a branding iron that works awesome and is very rustic... Just what I was going for. Here is the test piece unfinished as of right now.
