Thank you! My friends elderly MIL lives there in the in law apt. She comes out to get the mail sometimes while im there. We had a little chat and she complimented me how nice it was stacked.
Stacks are really coming along! Are you catching up on your splitting and stacking? Looks like you e made a lot of progress
Catch up??? Youre kidding? With me there is no catching up! I hoard the stuff faster than i can split it. Of course the score is more fun. I have maybe half cord of sugar maple from last Friday there to SS. Saturdays load of the same was SS here at home then brought over. Also have maybe two face cord of honey locust and others assorted wood there to process. Brought my one cord bin there, but have to assemble and level it. I want to be able to fill bin as im processing so dont have to handle it twice. When unstacking its like revisiting old friends. Sad yes, but makes room for new friends.
So true about the score being more fun Sounds like you have a good plan for what you want to get done. Anything to not have to handle it again, huh?
I try to minimize that but the way im doing it, its not always possible. I prefer wood not to sit for too long in the warmer weather. Are you done with your SS Haftacut ?
I wish! I was out there for a few hours this past week stacking. Almost out of pallets so I am stopping in the morning to scrounge up a truckload so I can keep going. I would like to be finished this week. You all will be the first to know when I do! Till then, keep stacking
Stacked the splits from the weekends score. More cribbage played. Dead ash in the back. Sugar maple in the front. One more row of pallets will go across the back.
Havent updated in a while. Red maple splits added three weeks ago and beech from last weekend added today. I have some sugar maple rounds there to split which should finish this row. Have a row to finish in the back and can add a last row of pallets for three more rows. Currently as stacked about seven cord. Each row is a tight half cord. Once the last row of pallets is added and filled with wood it will be nine cords.
Wish all my stacks got that much sun. The dead ash stack in the back has splits on the top that are probably burnable.
Added the birch splits from Mondays score to the front of the stack. Ill add some sugar maple splits to finish the front, then continue on the back.
