Perhaps I will add some screws for the heck of it, I am told that this plaster drills well and it would add extra security.

OK, made another tile and it took about half the plaster of the last one. Changed things up a little-- filled the mold completely and then added my mesh tape by pushing it down into the plaster until is disappeared. Shook it good, let it dry for an hour. Removed two screws that were holding two of the sides on, and went to unmold. I had one corner stick, I must have not gotten enough Murphy's on the bare wood there, and I broke a corner. Not a big deal, I will need a lot of outer edge pieces so I will save it for that. I got a very uniform thickness, didn't see any defects so I am really happy with the product.

$140, walmart. They are sending it to our local store $20 miles away. Could have done $20 cheaper at Menards or Lowes but the extra game and time wasn't worth it.

My 250lbs of plaster came in on Thursday. On Friday night I installed a ceiling fan in the garage loft (did I mention this is where I am making the tiles) so now I will have light to work under. Just finishing my coffee and then I am going out to cast the first four tiles of the day.

Didn't get much done this weekend, we hosted a thankgiving yesterday and the old lady was supposed to do the majority of the cooking but instead sprained her ankle. So I did all the cooking, all the wood hauling, most of the cleaning and dishes. Should have sprained my ankle too...

Get better soon Mrs Grizzly. Also, one side of my family did Easter and Christmas on Saturdays, regardless of what date the holiday was on. Yep.
