This is going back many, many moons. My father is in this picture. The others are brothers and sisters plus my Grandfather and Grandmother. Picture was taken during the 1930's when Grandpa was still on the farm. My parents. Small picture is of them too. Both taken in the 30's. My parents, 2 brothers and sister plus me. Picture taken in 1940's
Well, I was the youngest in the family. Check out this one. That picture was taken about a year before I got polio. I am not supposed to remember that far back but do remember those suits and I loved them.
Early'70's. This is the best, old picture with both of them I could find. However, it still captures the times. They were married in '63 but I don't have any earlier picts.
Great pics everyone Dennis- we need to have you policing the GTG in one of them suits! Can't wait to see what else crops up here! This is how FHC family shares Family, and I really appreciate all of you for digging through and posting the memories, makes me long for my family
You may be surprised just how humble we are here Eric. Probably many will be but that is fine with us. We don't have much but we love what we do have. Sadly, I don't have one of those suits that would fit me now anyway...
It's not the size of the humble abode that matters but the love and thankfulness for what God has blessed you with Sav. You have a fine little spread there Sav and I wish I could make it up for the GTG but hopefully we will meet again Brother.
Here is a picture of my dad when he was in the military. Hey was an MP. We unfortunately lost him in 2014. Some say we look extremely alike.. I don't think so, his pictures are all in black and white.
Last summer! We're kicking it together for over a decade now. I was an azz when I was younger (what a fool I was). He's my best bud! We have a good time and laugh non stop! Spend as much time as you can. Miss my mom terribly. I know he does as well. Mom was gone before the advent of camera phones. I have a few pics but they make me sad to look at so I don't. I'll see her again some day. Probably catch hell for the crap I've pulled- not sure who I fear more there... LOL!
Thank you for posting that. That song answers alot of my questions on why my family went from CO to CA for a few years during the depression then came back again. All the pictures show them smiling and happy regardless of the locale. Just like the song, the pics I have seen are not in color but I interpret them in color...
Locust Post this makes us sad as we were really looking forward to another visit from you and your lovely wife. But if you can't come, know we are praying for your healing.
You have a sense of humor? Eric, you are always so serious. We all look forward to your practical comments in a serious manner with absolutely no digression into frivolous commentary.
