Picked up a new Stihl 362 cm

    I ran a 461 today for the first time. The 461 was torquey, but my 362 seems more angry in comparison.

    Just a thought. Leave the 24" on the 362 for bucking and use other saw for limbing. I love the extra length, don't have to bend as much.

    That thought had indeed crossed my mind. That kind of a half crouch when bucking really kills my back. I find myself kneeling when bucking larger stuff that is low down so I don't have to crouch. Then you end up with a wet dirty knee! I just can't win anymore!

    I have an older 20" bar I tried, after loosing that 5" extra length, didn't take me long to swap back.

    I'm gonna try running a 28 inch bar with skip tooth chain on my 362. It will probably do ok in pine.

    It will, I have a 28 skip on a 034super I cut spruce with.
