Such a generic name for that company. I looked and looked too. Is there any address beyond the "Dearborn Michigan" on it?

I'll look at the tag again tomorrow.
Everything I find points to vehicle transmissions.

This one doesn't get mounted. you simply slide it in your receiver hitch.

Calculations said that it would be too fast for my clumsy azz so I found a rusty NOS sprocket on eBay.
A little blasting and a bit of yellow and it's good to go. IMG_20220911_153055_(1080_x_1080_pixel).jpg

Got the driven sprockets swapped. Still have to bore and broach the drive. IMG_20220916_182739_(1080_x_1080_pixel).jpg
Changed out sediment bowls and installed the Chrysler connector. IMG_20220916_182758_(1080_x_1080_pixel).jpg
Got the old pipe out and a nos nelson muffler with cap in.
Time to make up the new wires and swap plugs.

    Points.
    Fairbanks morse model J magneto.
Coil has leached a lot of tar, didn't even get the meter out.
Some azzwipe drilled weep holes in both caps......the caps whose gaskets are supposed to be coated in shellac making it air tight.
Unless the weep holes were intended for mud wasps, and in those regards they worked fine.

Anxious to get it going so I can try it out. Friend has a LOT of hung up large dead ash and I'll use this to pull the trees over and skid them out.
If I run out of time I have 3 more engine driven winches I can use. Pulling large leaning trees back over center and down frequently with the rootball attached is a real rush!!

So last night I tried for a while to start it and only got some puffs and burps.
This morning I wanted to check the timing and since the flywheel screen was off I pulled it around by one of the vanes.
Mag clicked and it took off running and almost took my finger with it!!
It's been running around 9 hrs non stop now. Running better and better.
