Well after going thru 5 bags ,these pellets are what i call "Mechanical shut down pellets" there in a small group but none the less cant ever be purchased again by me. These pellets where so long i had to sift 5 bags by hand and break up over half the pellets in the bag. Pellets ranged from 1 to 4 inch pellets no joke so you can see the problems here. If not for that one major issue these pellets burnt pretty damm good after i cut them down to size. Hardly any fines at all, and my burn pot only had 2 small spots of build up everything else self cleaned itself out. There was never any black on the bricks or glass. the glass did turn grey but usually that took 12 hours or so. The only other bad thing was the heat on these pellets just really wasnt there. Since its the shoulder season my stove is on low burn and usually with any any other bbs junk i average 220 degree air out of the stove with pennington i averaged 175 degrees. other than that i liked them better then this years Newp and Greene team platniums but because the length i cant use these pellets again snapping thousands of pellets per bag is not something i had in mind when i bought my stove nor something i want to be doing again. well now its on to burn up some more sholder season junk. here comes the easy heats:(

The Pennington "oak" pellets burned pretty good. The burn pot stayed cleaned and the ash level is average. The pellets are on the longer side of what most pellets look like nowadays so they feed a little slower. Perfect for me during the shoulder season.
