Question is--are you going to be able to dump a bag, turn the knob and not touch it for over 6 hours or more? You might be to adjusted to burning wood!:D

With my stove, I don't do anything but feed it for days. It just takes care of itself. If I get somega build up of ash. Then I know I need to scrap the burn pot. Otherwise it just dumps it out on its own

Alright, well appears that the stove is its own thermostat. When on low or High it runs continuous. When it's set to automatic (65°-85°), the stove will start and run to the set temp, then shut down and restart when the room temp drops 3 degrees.

As for the ignitor, the stove will male 2 ignition attempts. So if the 1st one fails to ignite the fuel, it will run another round of "on" time with the ignitor.

The one thing you will need to do Pete, is watch the quality of burn and color of ash. You want a brisk flame with active sparks coming from the pot. If the flame is lazy, sooty, etc it needs more air.. If it's to active, fast, etc it may burn itself out before getting more fuel and you won't get a good heat exchange because air is flowing through the stove to fast.

So if the pellet level continues to increase in the pot or it overflows, or the flame is lazy/sooty, you will need to adjust the trim pot on the board counterclockwise.

Of the flame is to fast and the fuel is burning to fast? You will need to adjust the pot clockwise.

Based on your EVL of your exhaust, you may have to increase the air a little. But I would burn it for awhile before you do so. If you have to make an adjustment, wait 15-20 minutes before adjusting again. This let's the stove settle into that adjustment that you made. Only move the trim pot one level at a time. There is a fine line between a good burn and a bad burn. If you question any of it, take a small video and let us watch the intensity of the flame and the speed (also noting the color of ash in the firebox).

Its actially because we are gone for about 14 hrs a day. I want that to run for the 3 or 4 hours the wood stove doesnt keep up. Also because we can run along side the wood stove on the really cold days and nights. My wife has thyroid issues and can not stay warm so we have to keep the house warm for her. As soon as it hits 68 to 70 she is shivering.... Our furnace died completly a few weeks back to so multiple heat sources are better than one. I am saving for an actuall pellet furnace for next winter 2015 2016 to replace the gas furnace. The county and ins co said go for it so I am lol.

Snowing you say! You can keep every bit of it where you are. I'm not ready or interested in it. OK for some on Christmas eve. Then no more!!

That would be the cat's meow. The furnace is the very best of the pellet heating options. I went with the stove because of our physical layout and my desire to sit by a fire.

You are pretty close to where Fahrenheit Pellet Furnaces are made. For your sized home, it would be a perfect fit!!

I love mine.. And having a free standing pellet stove and a wood stove give you a BUNCH of heatings options. :D

Yup you got it.. The dial for the air is preset to 4 already so I haven't messed with it yet. I'm only going to run once more after the silicone all sets up and dries before the dreaded inspection..... I'm going to completly clean it out like I never ran it lol.

Here is another question where do you buy your leaf blower adapter kits for your chimneys? Or do I just make it out of whatever I have laying around?

Piece of hose, pvc, hose clamps,go to youtube and look for leaf blower trick. If you have not burned a ton or more you should only need to clean inside combustion area, and holes in burn pot.

You need a leaf blower that has the vac option. The toro I bought from lowes $40.has one. Then I put a 4 in to 3 in reducer. Cut the three in. end so it easily slid inside the three inch tube. You need to diconnect the vav tube in the stove. That is the same one you forgot to reconnect. Go to YouTube and watch a few vids on cleaning with a leaf blower.
I used to get the black smoke monster. Now mostly just a gray Casper ghost. Only takes a few minutes and you are done.

Would that be with an air compressor? Or is it like canned air for electronics?
