Still not sure. Best way to describe would be something like:

"Horizontal out of stove to a 45, then 3' of straight horizontal to 90 cleanout T, then 5' of vertical to a 90.........." you get the idea.

    Up and down don't work.

You need to say it as Pete says it.

    1 ft horizontal, 45°, then a 90°, then vertical 5', then a 90°, then etc..

You can list the total footage, but if we don't know horizontal/vertical? You can't ad it up right.

    Verticle
    5'
    3'
    T
    90° attached to the cap.

    Horizontal
    1'
    45°

The 45° is off the back off the stove ( its about 8" then the 45° ) with a 1' through the wall then the T the rest goes straight up.. sorry thought you said to say up and down I was pooped last night lol.

    1' Horiz = .5'
    1 -45° = 2.5'
    8' Vert = 4'
    2 -90°'s = 10' (you didn't list the 2nd 90° in your post above)

    Your at 17' of EVL.

That's not bad. People have ran with higher on 3" before

Is it all straight up once you get outside? Other than the 90° at the top? Could you eliminate that 90° and use a vertical style termination cap? Rather than turning down and using a Horizontal cap?

I might be able too ill have to look and see.

What if I used a pipe converter to 4" on the last 3" of the pipe? Yes all straight up after you get outside.

I'd try it at 17 before you pull your hair out about it.

If that 90° is eliminated and the pipe is 12" over your gutter/eave, then a vertical cap is all that you would need. Rather than a 90° and a horizontal cap?

Either way, 17' of EVL is not that bad. If you only have the clean out T and one 90°. If you have a Clean out T and 2 90's, then your at 22' of EVL and will definitely have burn issues.

I get an evl of 18.....Dex used .5 for the 1 ft. of horizontal when it should be 1.

    So, vert pieces = 4, horiz. pcs. = 1, 45 elbow used horizontally is about 3, and (2) 90's = 10......I get EVL of 18.

Hate to say it but it really should be 4" pipe. If you haven't burned the stove, the pipe could be returned. I know that's probably a PIA, but if you burn it and have issues, the pipe won't be returnable.

    Just sayin..........

Oops.. I did mess up that Horizontal.

17.5'-18' isn't end of the world... Unless you have three 90's Pete? Or is it really two?

This is where I keep scratching my head. In that post I quoted above, you said a Clean out T AND two 90's? If you have a total of three 90's, that's 15' right there. Not counting your 45°, and any Horiz or Vert.

Is it going straight up outside, or are you turning to miss the eve, then turning again to go up higher?

Sorry there are adjustable sections sold as a 90 but can be straight 45 or a 90.... One is set at 45 the other a 90 and then the T...

Well we did the first test fire this afternoon! I'm a happy fella let me tell ya no trouble codes and it lit right up and burned....

Now the downside I'm pretty sure the auger is still jammed so I'm gonna have to take the cover off and blow the sugar and shoot out completely. It didn't feed but I heard it turn I'm pretty sure. I did it once already but it's hard to get all of the old pellets out so this time it's super air wand lol... The previous owner left his old nasty pellets in since last winter.

I also had some smoke initially in the room do any of you have a good way to determine where it might come from? It's very hard to tell given where it sits.

Also it pumps the heat really well even on that one burn pot load. I can't wait to see it really work.

Upon start up, turn the lights off, and use the brightest flashlight you have.

Did you seal the appliance adapter (first piece of venting that connects to stove) to the stove with high temp silicone?

If it's not the 1st connection, then it is at the 45° connections.

Did you have to add pellets for the start up?

If it fed, started, and stopped, then it may be another issue? Such as vacuum switch, control board, snap disc/POF,

No it didn't feed I put them in by hand. I'm pretty sure it's jammed up the guy really didn't clean it well I had to go through and blow it all out and meticulously scrub it out. It was bad...

Remove all the old pellets from the hopper and then clear the auger.....remove it if you have to, so you're sure all the old crap is out. Reassemble and start the stove with no pellets in the hopper so you can be sure it's turning......if the lid has a switch on it, hold it down manually so you can watch the auger.

If it's turning normally, then dump a couple pounds of pellets in, close the lid, and see what happens.

I did clean It out once but I didn't remove the auger I left it in and blew it all out. I'll pull it this time and get underneath it this time. And get back with you guys today....
