Holy crap. I could sell my stash for 6 grand at those prices. If anyone would pay it, that is. 12 pounds would heat my house for about 6 hours, 3 hours if its really cold out. There was an Ebay listing a couple seasons back for a ton of pellets. I think it was $1100 or so for the ton, but the shipping was free....
Years ago, there was a guy selling ziplock bags of pellets for about $10.00 each without shipping.....he said they were for starting your pellet stove. Now, let's see.....you can get a 40lb bag of pellets for $4.00-$5.00, take some out and use those.....oh, never mind. My favorite was some kook who was trying to sell a used Accentra insert for $6000.00....they claimed that the future buyer was responsible for reimbursing them for what they paid to have the stove installed ?!?!?!?! Their listing included all kinds of threats to report you to law enforcement if you asked unnecessary questions. I emailed them, said I was extremely interested in the stove and needed to know if it came with a left or right-sided smokeshifter.
No, I never did hear back. My sincere hope was they spent copious amounts of time trying to determine if it had a left or right-sided smokeshifter, only to find out that there is no such thing . I watched the listing and they would drop the price every couple of weeks in $100.00 increments. BIG SAVINGS THERE! Eventually they seem to have gave up on the listing as its final status was "Ended", not "Sold".
