If that's all you got well that's all you got. I hate on them because of a bad batch , the 1st ones I tried were OK nothing special . If push came to shove I'd try them again ,but I don't go out'a my way to buy them .:)

Picked up the last 9 bags of AWF at the local HD. Finally had a clerk tell me they were having a hard time getting pellets. The only had a few more pallets of FSU left. They'll be out by Sunday.

Wow, those went fast. I saw pellets today at Walmart and at TSC. The TSC were the Athens line and the other one is from NH. not use of that brand. I hope they don't start running out. But I will say that while I was there a couple days ago, it was a steady stream of people buying them by the bag. Glad I have three tons in the garage.

I just cleaned my stove out today and threw in the bag of Lee Energy that I've been waiting to test. Been too dang cold and didn't want to chance testing them during that time. I'll post my results tomorrow.

Look at it this way, you can never have too many pellets, right? :D

I guess I'll take a stroll over to HD & Lowes tomorrow....see what they have. Might pick up 10-15 bags.......IF they have anything decent. Pretty sure I have enough (2+ tons) to finish the winter, but a little "insurance" can't hurt. :fire:

Just picked up 6 bags of the dark TSC pellets on the way home. Another customer asked me if these were any good and I replied they were. He went on to say he drove down from Kingston, and no one had pellets ( 2 hd and 2 Lowes on the way down).
I have a ton and a half of sets in the garage aging nicely so I think I'll be good for the year, but I don't like the fact that pellets are in short supply.

Put my first bag of lee energy in tonight. Too lazy to clean it out first. I'll try that tomorrow. I have five bags to run through so I'll get a fair test.

Save$, A clerk at HD told me today that they have been having problems with them getting wet. They had some outside but weren't bringing any more into the store until they checked them out. Check them before you dump a bag of wet pellets in the stove.

Thanks for the heads up. So far, mine are dry. I would hate to have some clumping. I have put in some of the oak pellets. They are dusty and short with a full finish. Lucky for me, theses are in a clear bag.

HD had AWF and SC. At least 20 tons of each. Still had several stacks of the GS too. Didn't bother counting those! Manager said they have a few more trucks coming next week(didn't have info on what would be on them). I picked up 25 of the AWF and will be restacking right after I eat some crub! Hopefully the 36 in the box store stacks and the 25 AWF I just bought will help keep my mitts off the Hamers and Cubex in the cold weather stacks.

Word must be traving on shortage cause there were several people buying pellets and loading trailers. We usually see maybe one other while we are fetching ours, But there were about double what was normal. Manager said they sold 10 tons and there were still calls coming in if they had them in stock. Expected a busy pellet day and keeping an extra guy on just to have a forklift driver freed up.

Prolly gonna get another 25 next week or so JIC. Should give me approximately 10 bags to the good for the rest of the season.

    Yep! I got pellets! :D

Managed to grab a dozen bags of AWF today at TSC. Probably go for another dozen tomorrow.

Sounds like the Hudson valley or as Imacman correctly describes it as the beautiful Hudson valley is suffering a pellet shortage.

I'm going to buy another ton of Uncle Jed's on Monday. Hard to believe that I'll be into ton #3…. never even hit three tons before. But I have been using some to heat my shop and it's also been colder than a well diggers azz….

Some local farm stores are limiting pellet purchases to 10 bags. I have a buddy who goes every few days. The big box stores aren't doing this but some are out of stock or close. I scored a ton of Somersets yesterday and hauled 12 bags home in my car two different days last week. That 10 bag purchase made me squirmy and want to stash pellets.

Just made a trip to the local (Newburgh) Lowes & HD. I got the last 10 bags of a load of Stove Chow they got in 2 days ago.....the rest are gone and the store is cleaned out. o_O

Lowes also has NO pellets....not even a loose bag.

2 local TSC have NO pellets, and the other one in Pine Bush only has 2 tons of nasty North American....and their rationing them! 10 bags to a customer.

Not looking good for anyone that needs them around here. Glad I (now) have 2.3 tons.
