The big thing is, if I do not have enough, I do have NG... However, there is a big supply about 4 miles from me, that usually has some! You are right. But last year I started out with 4 pallets. (@1.2t) It was a warmer winter.. I had some left over so I got 3 this season, giving me about 4. (4.8t) We'll see how it goes this season.. Dan
Well, I don't normally really count bags, but I usually take a picture of the pellets in the basement at the beginning of the season (actual, after I have stacked them - just to prove that I did some work ). So, I can look back at the picture and have a good idea. This year it has worked extremely well since I have so much on hand, I'm not buying 15-25 bags on a regular basis. I did buy 8 bags from TSC because I had 10% off coupons so couldn't help myself, but that is it. Once I start hauling stuff in from the garage it will be more difficult - but once again I know how much I have out there so it won't be impossible. Last year I also had a good stash to start off the year - taking advantage of free, or low cost, delivery. So the beginning pic worked well again until I started buying off CL (at really good prices) and took a trip to The Town That Shall Not be Named to grab some Platinum's in late winter. Now the winter of 2014/2015 I had no idea even though I pre-boutgh 3 tons from a local dealer. Hut he had trouble keeping them in stock, so I could only pick up 10 bags at a time (and some weeks none) so I was always hauling home FSU's from HD, so really had no idea how much I was going thru besides "a lot".
