I stopped at Lowes and they have GS's for $239. Kid said everyone loves em????

I left scrathing my head. Was so baffled I didn't have the spirit to go to HD.

Yes, Lowes had GT's but I didn't bother to ask or look for pricing!! Headed home for beer and lots of it!! I feel better now!

Corporate probably tells them to say that.. I hear the same song and dance about Green Supremes no matter where I go.... I think the GT pellets are a buck a bag more as seen in this screenshot... They offer the per ton discount.. Wonder if this is the beginning of the big box stores listing different kinds of pellets on their websites.. Would make things a lot easier for many...

Good Morning - I'm wondering if there is a preference between Greene Team's vs. Clean Energy pellets? I have a choice up here and normally purchase around 5 pallets from Lowes. Has anyone burned these yet this year that can comment?
    Thanks!

Welcome to the show Syd, I haven't burned any Clean Energy yet this year ,but I have burned them before they are re- bagged Hamer's Hot Ones a top tier pellet they've always burned great for me. GT's are another good pellet, but for some reason Lowe's jacks the price on those in the NY area. If price is equal I'd prolly get 4 ton of Ce and 1 ton of GT. What stove are you burning them in? Glad to have you abroad , lots of great pellet heads here,to help any way we can :D

    Welcome aboard Syd.

Both good pellets IMHO. But like wil711. My vote goes with the CE.

Thanks for the information, much appreciated. For what-ever reason the Lowes stores around me offer the GT's and the Clean Energy for $240/ton - no upcharge for GT's. Last year I burned Nature's Own and they were ok, but not really that hot. I have an Harman Accentra insert which I keep super clean so it burns hot as possible.

Syd, you are in the right place. Welcome. Be advised, we Harman owners are know to have "issues".
At least we don't have to be too picky about our pellets.
Put in some pic's when you can. Sit 'round the fire for awhile and enjoy the chat!

I was in the Newburgh, NY Lowes this morning, and did a quick pellet inventory.....they had some Green Supreme and Chit River (yuck), and Timber Heat.

Nah.....too many other things going on. Gotta decide between a generator or a shed before winter.
Maybe next year if the gas fireplace this new place came with doesn't work, or works like crap. Then maybe I'll rip it out & put a small pellet eater in.

Lowes in Chester should have received a shipment of Greene Team's on about Oct. 25-26.

According to the TSC website, all 3 locations near me in the Hudson Valley (Chester, Highland, and Pine Bush) have pellets in stock. Price after $10/ton discount is $269.

Stopped by HD in Newburgh today. If anyone in that area needs pellets desperately, they have them. You might not like the choices, though.

They currently have 20 tons of North American's, and a full tractor-load (23 tons) of Green Supreme.
