Good reply, I know you gave it your best shot trying go heat the camp. But it did tie up a lot of your time and resources. I agree, drainning the pipes and letting the place rest through the winter makes a lot of scense. The wife and I are in no shape to have any heating device that requires a lot of attention. My son is helping us now. He'll see that the pellets are within easy reach. If I were to give advice on just easy heat with pellets, I would steer them toward pellet furnace. For us, I like looking at the fire. So peaceful.
That's one of many. I am not very well informed about the differences between furnaces. There is an outfit around here that puts in a system, then delivers bulk for bulk feed. They use "no brand" pellets. I have seen their adds on tv, but don't know anyone who has one of their systems.
The $3500 install quote was for a Harman. I haven't gotten a quote yet for freight. I'll have to contact our Fastenal rep, but the other buyer desks with that supplier. It shouldn't be an issue any way, I just like to have a rapport with a supplier first. Really though, of be buying a good or service from them, it's not like I'm asking for free freight.
Still not sold yet. Had one guy come and look at it from Craigslist but he wanted to buy it for nothin. Not happnin. I am up for trading as well for a pro-series saw. New or very close to it. Looking for something light. I currently have a 66cc Echo CS 680 that is working great! Looking for something 50cc or smaller.
Gasifier , I talked to my parents a while about this stove. They are going to go with a new stove. Sorry bud.
I think that is great! Having support close by for them is like money in the bank! Best of luck to them my friend. Let us know what they go with.
You mentioned you have to get rid of some toys. The trailer will do me more good than a pellet stove I am not going to use anymore. But what else do you have you are thinking of getting rid of?
Gas, were you the one that piled bags of pellets in your living room and joked about using them as a couch? If so can you repost that pic?
Nope. Not me. I did pile pellets in the living room of the camp though. And the bedroom. And the bathroom. And the dining room. LOL I was tired of carrying them up from the basement. Jut put them all on the main floor. Much easier!
I had a big yard sale recently and got rid of a lot but I still have a cs41 earthquake chainsaw and an older john deer aka echo weed trimmer, car polisher hvlp sprayers and I a couple air tanks left that need to go. Also a portable welding table too. The gmc is sold to another member I think as is the john deer tractor. The three stihls I think are as well all awaiting payment....
Pallet Pete Well I have the stove and two tons of Softwood Pellets. But I'm thinking it might be better to not transport the Pellets. Or just transport one ton of the pellets. What do you think Pete? What do you think about the trade? If we decide to do this are we going to meet half way? That would be about 3.5 hours each? How is the trailer on the road when it's empty? Is there leaf springs under it?
Yip its leaf spring and pulls nice behind my blazer. I went to ohio with it to take Scotty his snowmobiles he bought in Michigan.... Pulled great! I think the stove is fine trade no pellets required you would do better to sell them on craigslist anyways. Id happily meet halfway for a trade Id take that trailer to california tomorrow without hesitation its a good ride.... Im getting rid of it because I have another very large trailer now and I dont need two of them. Sentiments be dammed lol.
