NEWP dropped out and so did Curran. They started their own program IIRC.

well, its our first year bringing them in....47?! no thanks! logistical nightmare. From the point of ordering, it takes 2 months or so to get it, unless the railroad decides to slap the car on a siding in Chicago or something, then all bets are off.....at 100 tons or so per car, and the fact you have to pay for them when they leave the mill, not when you get them, its kinda tough to invest a lot of $$$ in something you have no idea when you'll get your hands on, especially this late in the season. Two months from now, its almost June

I got 30 bags of PTL softies to move when the season is over , I'm sensing some symmetry here 30 bags and 30 packs

First bag of AgriRecycle went in last night. Here's the skinny - I really like this product, and agree with others that previously gave it a good review. The pellets are very uniform in size, right around .5 inch. Low dust, almost no fines. Just prior to these, I ran a bag of Minute Man. Stove temp, feed rate 3.5, temp setting 3, stove thermometer reported a consistent temp of 350 degrees. That bag of MM lasted me ~16 hours. Then I put these AgriRecycle in, and got almost exactly the same results. Stove remained at 350 degrees, I got about 15 hours out of these, but out of fairness I cranked the temp setting and ran the stove full blast for about half an hour this morning to see what they could do. At feed rate 3.5, the stove temp topped out at about 480 degrees, which is very impressive. Right up there most of the other hardwoods I tried this season (Lignetics, Greenways, etc.). Funny enough, the ash was very similar to Heat'rs in that it's black and light and slowly forms shapes in the burn pot. More ash than the softies and requires more tending accordingly, of course, but that's to be expected. I would buy these again, with no hesitation. If the HOT or NOT list is still being maintained, these should be added with a HOT rating IMO.

We have never been members....If someones wants to judge us on what is in the bag and how good the pellets are...just Google us...there are dozens if not hundreds of comments about our pellets out there...they run from overpriced to the best pellets someone has ever burnt....We seem to sell out every season, so someone must like them...and I have dealers that we are the only brand they carry...we feel that speaks volumes, more than being a member of something can provide for us... Nothing against the PFI...

Is that the same fiber (not same pellet) as Independence Pellets of old. Those were pretty good.

I do too, I'm trying to talk the wifey into getting a ton or 2.

Pretty clean, Good heat and not much carbon build up either. The best part was they handled a -15° night no problem! ;)
