You might be right.......usually they don't drop as we go towards fall/winter, but you never know.....cant imagine a pellet co dropping prices going into the busy season

I remember 3 or 4 seasons ago the BB's started out high in early fall, then dropped prices as they seemed to get into a price war, it was good for us end users
that's about the only time , and it prolly wasn't the pellet co. dropping their prices .

I can guarantee it wasn't the pellet company- I remember that.....it was exactly as you said.....2 BB's basically saying they will beat anyone's price on same-branded product by 10% or something....so, folks wanting to save some money played one against the other....cant blame them. Then, you notice that the BB's started having their own pellets bagged and branded, which was the solution to THAT issue.

TSC did. I haven't seen any Lowes or HD branded pellets, unless you want to call the GT Platinum Lowes private brand.

Interesting. I've never seen any Clean Energy at Lowe's but then again I don't go there often. Hamer's you say? I guess I'll have to check this out next year.

Dex and Will, I believe, still have some on hand. I also did a review of them earlier in the season.

I would think if the Clean Energy were Lowe's "house" brand, they would be more readily available. Based on the posts above they appear to be another hit or miss type pellet.

They seem to be more available earlier in the season when Lowe's first start getting pellets in....at least around here.

Don't recall ever seeing them around these parts. Regional thing perhaps? Mostly what we see around here at Lowes is GS and NA. Saw some timber heats this year but at $5.58/bag I wouldn't bite.

I like the Timber Heat. But you are right. That is a tad more than I would want to spend

In case anyone is interested, I stopped at HD in Auburn on the way home and they had > 20 tons of therma-glos. I passed on them, but if anyone else wants or needs some, well there you go...
