I stopped by the local Lowes today to use a couple of gift cards from Christmas. Bought a new CO/Smoke Alarm to put in the room with the stove. There wasn't a pellet to be seen anywhere in the store.

The last couple weeks here in "The Land of Plenty" pellets are getting scarce. Through all the shortages over the years a guy could scrouge some up somewhere at a dealer. Looking slim.
Even the display skid of pellets at TSC that has been sitting on the front stoup all fall/winter is gone !!!! ????:bug:

So i won't be buying the Northern Max pellets again.
Yikes! what a ash dam, just as bad as the NEWP.
I'm thinking I like softwood the best.
I'll drop in the Vermont's tomorrow.

That's what I get from the Cubex that everyone raves about. A lot of heavy ash and not much heat.

This may sound weird but the color of the flame is different on a lower burn.

Took a spin through the TSC parking lot on the way home and they got a fresh delivery of Minute Man pellets. 3 pallets outside, 2 pallets inside, and more out back.

I don't buy pellets at Lowes, I do like the store, but most of the Pellet brands they have been having are either low quality or too costly.
