That's very true here also Jay - lots of folks in town heating w/ wood off the land .. there's still roughly another cord left from our 'DirecTV tree cutting extravaganza' for a neighbor to pickup for his (future) heating season, on the property here.

Props to Skeeter for processing wood in the heat  - I'm hoping to get back out in a few weeks to finish bucking logs when the temps. start cooling down.. Too hot for me to process wood now, I'm getting old & the small chainsaw doesn't run well in hot weather either.. :BrianK: Sigh.

My former doc once told me every extra lb of body weight is 1.5 lbs of stress on the knees.

    Keep it up Larry

hmmm....since stress=force/area, and assuming there are two knees involved, I would think that one pound of weight would add half a pound (of weight!) per knee. Stress isn't calculated in pounds either, but Newtons/square meter, or kips per square inch, etc.

Turned off my window fans before they even got started last night (they run on a timer 8pm to 8am) and then closed most windows when I got home from work at 10. Glad I did, it was 48* outside when I got up at 3:30.
