That's what I'm doing , but I'm pooped from work , awesome day here me and Maggie sitting in the shade and I made a fire in the fire bowl Chillaxin with a few Smoothies

4 more days and I am off for 10 days

I snuck in the extra Friday cause we are going to a concert that night. My last day before vacation is generally pure hell and dont want to be brain dead and pooped for the show. I wonder what freaking project the owner will throw at me around noon he walks out the door to play golf. He does it every damm time.

Well, I took apart my honeys lawn mower, ordered a new recoil assembly and of the engine starts OK, I will order a new throttle cable.

Is an old Honda that she bought at a 2nd hand place last summer. It always ran Ok but the self propel never worked. End of last season or this past spring they couldn't get it to start and then the recoil went kerfloowey. Her dad is good with small engines and he couldnt get it to start but he is getting on in years and less motivated these days. Her son likely did in the pull starter so maybe that was not working right and not spinning the engine fast enough.

I removed the lower part of the deck and got to the tranmission. Looks like it is juts a broken cable, so if the engine still runs well, that will be next.

I am hoping it doesnt need much to run, but of it does need alot we are not putting much into it. From what I can tell it is a 1994-1997 model.

Now I need to fire up my working lawn mower and cut at least part of my crabgrass.

 

I wouldn't put too much into , prolly cheaper to buy another one

 

Out of curiosity, who are you going to see?

Scoped out craigs list and scared up a HIS HD 6870 ATI card from a fella across town up PDX

Got it for $40

Last night I screwed around trying different drivers in the Nvidia card and finally ended up with zero picture

That's when I said ENOUGH

Got the radeon installed (HUGE AZZ card)

Kicked the beast in the butt and it's running really smooth

Joy at last.

 

Yeah, especially when I found the date. So far its been my time and 40 bucks.

 

Had a nice day with my son and his family at Winslow park. We took the kids in our van and the parents went on his motorbike. We got in for nothing. Too young and too old! Kids played on one heck of a nice play ground. Then went hunting for green crabs in the seaweed. Then they went swimming. We had a wonderful picnic then watched the kids from our picnic area. There were sailboats in the bay. Some working boats too. Weather was perfect for us. No bugs!!!

Halestorm and Shinedown.

Should be a great show.

I have heard that Halestorm is stealing the show on the tour and that does not surprise me in the least. Although we have seen both many times, we havnt seen Halestorm in a few years and they are getting better as they get older. And Lizzy is looking better too as she gets a little older and still kicking azz !

 

We went to see the Deftones earlier in the week at the local casino. Wifey loves them and has seen them a bunch of times. I think they are ok but man they put on a good show.

 

Awesome ride into the Catskills today. 175 miles. Saw a few eagles and got little sunburn. Here we are at the really windy Ashokan resivior.

 

That smoothie on the top, that's factory - right?

Hey jtakeman and others here , on the bright side (for me at least) only 3 more days till 10 days off

A TSC 10% off everything including clearance was in my email today
