    Greetings fellow FHC peeps,

Been a busy month since I last posted here: in that time we've cut down more trees than I care to remember, had a tree service come in to handle the high limbs and larger trees, and are happily with DirecTV again. (whew).

In the mix there I moved the Sat. dish onto a tripod stand, re-cabled the house, and installed all new parts in-between (LNB, splitters, etc.) - after 8+ years of living in the woods (winter weather, power, etc.), everything was suspect / due replacement. Learning a new career as a Satellite TV technician was not on my wish-list..
" I want my MTV .."

We've also refinanced the house, got one daughter all set for fall semester college, and are working on the youngest daughter's now. o_O There is not enough Beer in the world.. We'll get there though. :pete:

The ladies were home for a brief visit, after their spring semester - they are both working for the Upward Bound & Links programs they attended during high school as tutors now - it's good to see them come full-circle & helping out in the program that made their going to college possible.

Add gardening, roto-tilling, and repair of every small engine we have here on the home front, it's been very busy here.

Every other waking moment has been dedicated to work, lots of IT projects going on right now. I may be actually looking forward to winter right now.. (Really looking forward to Pellets & Beer.)

Wishing I had great tales of adventures to exotic locations in distant lands to tell, but sitting in the back yard looking at garden beds, Monarch Butterflies, Bumble Bees, and Hummingbirds chasing each other around, is about as exotic as gets this summer... It's enough though, they're fun to watch.

I hope this finds all reading well, rested, and enjoying a great summer,

    Kind Regards,
    Rob

Went to a HS class reunion 50+, It is amazing how they have aged. Wrinkles, white and gray hair, or no hair. Waistlines are way different. We went about re-introducing ourselves like we were strangers. I think I remember maybe 30-40 of them of a class of 200. 40 have passed on. I was grateful for the lead up to this on FB. That gave me a chance to do some follow-ups. So many traveled from all over the states. Some who live near by didn't come because they were occupied with other things. It was a casual event. Pot luck with a cook out held at a local American Legion Clubhouse. Only hard part for me was the stairs. Found a ramp to use when we left so that improved. So all in all we had a good time, even if it was with "old people". :BrianK:
