The weather cooperated most of the day and I was able to get the miter saw out this afternoon and get nearly all the remaining baseboard cut and installed.

Have just two little pieces left to cut and fit, but they need to wait until a couple other things are out of the way.

Most of the baseboard went in easy with only a couple areas that had goofy curves in the walls.

    Getting closer. :D

spent yesterday at the farm moving 2 ton concrete blocks (we call them Mafia blocks around here) to shift our loading dock 40 feet closer to the road. It was about 110 feet back and a waste of space. The new building was encroaching on it as well. yea i know, i'll get a picture today. we should finish it. concrete floor in the engine building tomorrow! 27 yard pour. it's hired out, i don't do that work. it would look like the ocean if i did it

Lucky you can take the Advil

After losing a kidney to cancer back in 2013 I was told not to use any NSAID's at all

Tylenol will hack the pain, but does not help fix it like Advil does.

Didn't go fishin today, But we did something we should have done a while ago. We detailed my little car, detailed the boat so she's super shinny(gonna blind dem fish tomporrow!! Washed the pickup too, But ran outta gas on the detailing part.....

We will fish hard tomorrow and make up for the missed day today. Joey's messing with his gear to get ready for the small lake that has loads of wood/stumps. I mess a bit with mine as well. The Tuesday we have to gear up for another big lake we'll hit on wednesday. After we go get some new sneakers for the pickem up! Might finish detailing if I have any gas left?? Got to get a geezer nap in there at some point too!! :D

Even the P2 car was an American team. The UK's both retired. Thought for sure the vette's would have rallied to a podium.

I think the WEC's BOP wanted to have the battle of 50 years ago to continue? Don't think they took enough away or gave enough to the other cars in class. IMSA looks to be a closer battle.

I agree with your thought that they wanted a Ferrari/Ford battle, but both those teams sandbagged throughout practice, while Corvette did not, and got hit with the BOP.

In addition, Ford built the GT exclusively for that race, and that race alone.......it was built to the exact rules allowed at LeMans for this year. They struggled to then make it into a "production" car. The Vette's ARE production cars.

Still glad an US manufacturer won.
    Nuff said.

No Pete, Not this time. Thats just your side, Hey I had to read your gloat when the GT's failed to compete in Daytona and the vette's went 1-2. I just zipped up :zip: , tucked my tail and said nada.

Ford and Ferrari have their own side. Seems it's just the chevy camp/boys complaining (more like stompin up and down, kickin dirt, whaaaaa!!) where the other teams haven't chattered much. They saw the writing and realized they had to play with 2 manufactures that brought new technology to the game. Both spent big $ and left nothing out or off the table. They both came to play. They may have bent a rule or 2, But like when hasn't chevy!! Whine, and cheese go dandy hey!! :p

As for the vette, Doesn't GM consider the Z06 a super car??

What's that make the c7R?? Are they really street legal? Doesn't look like it!!
    Corvette Racing – C7.R

Ohhh come on Pete, The C7R on track isn't a street legal version. Nor is the GT a street legal version. They are both factory race cars that only share the appearance of the street version. The GT street car will be road legal, Im sure the feds and EPA will make sure of that.

You'll need not cry for much longer as them GM boys have a mid engine vette in the works for 2017. No longer will their drivers need to battle with a front heavy tugboat. If ya can't beat um join um deal!! Just like the steel versus Aluminum, The GM trucks will get an Aluminum body in 2017. Wonder how they'll play off that dumb tv commercial once they do the switch??

    Great piccy of the lake.

Brings back memories from long ago when I was a kid and we would go to the high lakes in Central Oregon and go fishing.

That seems like yesterday, been 50 years ago though.

Joey and I put in a little fishing time yesterday. Had a really nice day on Winchester lake. Weather was nice with enough breeze to keep us cool. Fish were a bit elusive, But we managed a few decent ones. I had a blow up on a top water frog but missed hooking it, Joey followed it up with a finesse worm and got em. I found it, But he was able to get the best fish of the day thanks to pops missed fortune(wha wha whaaaaaa :( ). Nice chunky 3 pounder hiding in the lilly pads.......
    IMG_0757.JPG

Saw this fella fishing in the cove. Tried to get a closer shot, But he was fishing for food and we didn't want to spook him off. He was already grunting sayin, "This spot was taken-so buzz off"!! :D

    IMG_0755.JPG

Mountain laurel was about full bloom and covers most of the lake. Added some scenic views to are good day on the water. We'll go to the big lake tomorrow cause the pickem up is in for new sneakers and alignment. :makeitrain"

Just gonna chill and mess with some gear today. :coffee: Maybe pull the grille out and do up some stuffed burgers? :grizz: Should go good with my shipyard summer ale.....
