Well, We got the fence done and about had heat stroke! Freakin hottest day of the year and some dummy (meaning me) decides to do the fence. The boss said some weeks ago we should get it done before it gets hot. Yep!! She was right and I gotta eat me some crow this weekend!

Thats it for the day, Cold shower or a dip in the lake. Grabs some brews and go cooks some chicken on the grille.

I'm wasted. Spent the day stripping forms and back filling. Close to heat stroke. Avoided it with a few Molson ice. Same tomorrow.

It was brutal out there!! I don't think I could take it another day. I'm gonna start early and break mid day. Hit the lake for a dip. Might try to do a few things late in the day. Its so much cooler(feels like it anyway) out now.

Stay hydrated if you need to work in this heat!!

Awesome day up here in Smokey the Bear land. LOTS of brewskis and a two hour cruise on the boat. (Before the brewskis). Water is still a bit brisk for me, but tons of kids were in swimming.

That was me two years ago! For some reason I waited till it was 95° to replace our fence. The mrs was 7 months pregnant and still chipped in until i made her go back inside.

You earned the cold ones buddy. Hope they were good!

But Smokey was up in the Litchfield area doing as little as possible other than staying hydrated and out of the direct sun. Was it warm enough for you Larry or did the missus have the stove on?

She didn't complain about being cold. She even went out and bought and ice crème. I saw her outside squirting the grand kids with the hose as they slid down their slide into the kiddie pool.
Our old dog just wanted to stay inside and lay on the cool ceramic tile floor.

Started early to beat the heat. Oil's changed. Gardens tilled and mowed the lawn. Heading down to the lake for a dip. Bringin a cooler and some snacks. The week end begins.

    Marinating a streak for dinner.

This Daughter and Son in law went off to the east side of the state to attend the Son in laws sisters wedding.

Weeeeeee are staying home and continuing the Pergo expedition.

The Hutch is on HARD floor now, as is the dinning room table.

WE need to get about 4-5 feet of flooring done today and maybe a bit of baseboard trim tacked in.

Got friends coming tonight to visit and play cards.

I want some semblance of normal in the dinning room to be able to entertain the guests.
