two tablespoons is what I have been told. Also, we add white vinegar. It helps clean the cloths and deodorizes the machine without harm to pumps and drainage systems.

We had been making our own laundry soap here. That is until I had the septic pumped last time and saw all the super washing soda sitting in the bottom of the septic tank.
So it was back to using the most biodegradable soaps we could find.

Our LG front loader is 11 year old and still running. Parts have never been an issue.

I really liked the fit and finish on the Samsung and LG stuff, but when the local sales folks at the depot steered us away from them, I went with the flow.

Really wanted a set of the LG's in RED OR BLUE

I hate white, like I hate the egg shell colored computer stuff.

All my puter stuff is black.
Computer, printer, screen (50" LG LCD wall mount) keyboard and mouse.

    Black leather recliner chair

Just nothing traditional at all about this set up.

Black fridge, dishwasher, micro, oven , cooktop

Enough white elephants in my lifetime.

Toilets are soon to go to a tan color.

    Ahhhhh. yesssssssssssssssssssss

    CHANGE IS GOOD

The water in your area makes a big difference in whether you get the nasty stinkies in the machine.

We just leave the top open when the thing is done.

Also temperature and humidity is a big thing.

Depending on the temp, humidity, water makeup and such, the formation of bad smells can vary soooooo much from place to place.

We have an 800 ft deep well that produces very clear cold water./
It has a fair amount of minerals in it, but nothing that causes anything other than a white deposit on the faucets after some years.

    Likely calcium or lime.

    Never had it tested.

Having an 800 ft well presents its own issues when the pump needs servicing.

The pump inlet is at 700 ft with the static water level at 500 ft.

All but about the first 60 feet are in hard basalt.

Long slow grind digging that sucker.

Welp...ran to a Lowes this morning to score some Clean Energy, thanks for the tip MtDew! Unfortunately, only had 7 bags open on the floor so I grabbed them. The also had PTL, AWF, Cheat's, Maine's Choice, Inferno Gold. Maybe some others I'm not sure. As I was loading the CE's I went to grab two bags of AWF and the one bag ripped at the seam and about 1/3 the bag poured all over the floor :hair: Went and grabbed a broom and swept everything to one spot. Wound up with 7 CE's, 2 AWF and 1 Inferno just to try.

Went to my mom's to drop off my pellets (her garage is my new stash spot since I have no room at home...lol) Picked up a bunch of food that she bought for us and came home.

Since it's beautiful out I figured I'd try my new LBT method today. Since my new stove it too heavy to pull out and take to the garage after every ton or so I decided to buy an air tank (on sale at HF) and try something different. As the leaf blower was running, I used the air tank to blow out the heat exchanger and exhaust path from the inside of the house. Seemed to work pretty well and the inside of the stove got very clean. The biggest thing was I didn't make any type of mess in the house!!! I'll see how it burns today and see if I see a difference between doing what I did today as apposed to just doing the LBT.

I just spent almost 2 hours outside in a t shirt and no jacket . Didnt have to do much of the driveway-its sunny and 50 degrees out.

Got the smoker loaded for a long low/slow and 2 roasts are in now-one 2lb chuck from the freezer and 1 2-3 lb top round I just picked up-never tried it with top round but it was 2 bucks per pound cheaper and I found one with a lot of marbling in it.

Futxed around a bit and then just sat on the front stairs for 30 minutes soaking up the sun. Felt good :) The cats agree since its their first time staying out in quite a while. They are both out front soaking up the sun too.

Just enough to coat the bottom of the dispenser is all it really needs-thats maybe 1/4 of what the "manufacture recommended" amount is

How is that working out Larry? I have had the front loader now for 6-8 years doing this and have never had any smell that people complain about.

    Amen to that sister!

I helped the water guy change my 550 ft deep pump. Pulling that thing was a huge PITA. Changing out the crap spacers that the old company used, replacing the power wire due to being damaged by the crap spacers and then taping the new wire every so many feet on 550 feet of tubing :hair:

I am very guilty of that one.

After seeing how clean the clothes get when forgetting to add soap sold me.

I wonder why wifi slows down with several users? Remember lake parties in highschool, all of us turn the radios in our cars on at the same time?

My place came with a black fridge and stove - and a white over-the-stove microwave. WTF is up with that? When I got a mini portable dishwasher, I got black to match the other appliances. And I replaced the faucet with a Parisan Bronze (very dark).

Gave both stoves a good cleaning today. Only thing I didn't do was LBT. I was going to replace the igniter in the P61 because it had been taking a couple of cycles to start and pellets were almost overflowing the pot before igniting. While I was behind the stove looking for wires, I knocked against the OAK. Decided to take it off so it would be out of the way. Washed the flashlight in that direction and WTF? a 2-3" piece of plastic wrap is mostly covering the stove opening. Have no idea where that came from - must have gotten inside the flex pipe while I was installing the 3" pipe last fall :emb:?

I had noticed a couple of weeks after installing the new door gasket (around Christmas) that the door was getting smoky pretty quick. But coincidentally, I had changed pellets and that stove seems to get different smoke patterns from different pellets. Still seemed to burn good though. And, when it started struggling to light last week, I just put it in stove temp mode until I could get an igniter delivered (was getting frigid around then so had planned to change the setting anyway).

After removing the plastic, decided the igniter was probably still good, just wasn't getting good air flow. Started the stove back up a little while ago, and had a pretty quick start, so I at least have a spare igniter for when I need one :D.

We replaced our LG frontloader in 2012 after 9 years. I am currently replacing that matching dryer from 2003.

Got to 60* today....gorgeous out!! Did some car maintenance, bird feeders, etc, etc. Was sooo nice to be outside in just a heavy T-shirt. Gonna enjoy for now, cuz temps supposed to drop back to mid-low 30's by end of week/weekend. Spring, where are you???
