    Safe travels all.

PTL's average about 140°-145°.. I just got 153.9° from the chows. Clean flame and started quick.

Looks like it's gonna be a big order!! :D

Yeah, for those of us without generators, I want my stove to shut down gracefully . Probably the basement dweller would evacuate smoke okay with the 5-6' rise, but I know for a fact the main floor stove would pour smoke into the house (had that happen a couple times with the Hastings). And, if power comes back on, the stoves will start themselves back up once the clean draw comes thru.

Congrats to Peytie Pie. Hopefully he calls it a career (one of the best at that) and finishes on top like so few can do.

Uggghhh. No heat this am from the oil monster and snow predicted this afternoon. :hair:

P68 stove is now fired up so heat isnt an issue after the basement warms up and luckily I took a shower last night. Reset switch was tripped but no go. Tapped the burner motor in hopes of a dead spot. Nope. Exhaust motor turns on when reset switch is pushed so it has power.

Called my repair guy at 5:45 am expecting the machine to answer but spoke with his wife who was up as early as I was. Luckily his morning call cancelled so he will be here first call.

Nope, local guy that I have used for 21 years. This is the second no heat call I have had in that time-first was a Saterday about 5-6 years ago and he was here in an hour, flipping me the bird for ruining his Saterday morning as he got out of his truck...gotta love a maint guy with a sense of humor

Not a great start to the day, but at least you have the pellets for back up (and you can always boil water on the stove for a quick clean up). How fortunate for you that your repair guy can get there quickly!

And I bet he appreciates a customer that can appreciate that sense of humor - not everyone will take that bird with good graces after having their day start that way

Ambiant says "This is why I cling to my 1995 model year trucks, they aren't required to pass the stringent emission tests. The check engine light can come on and it still passes. I only use it for occasional runs to feed stores etc."

    This ..... and

It is why I hang on to the 94 Burb ... That and the replacement cost is about 55K

That's great news Dex - but suggest running 4-5 bags through, make =sure= you're Happy w/ them, before spending that kind of coin..

At that price & order, that's like getting 2+ tons free, that's very cool. Congrats!

Yeah, he is an old school, gruff, call it as he sees it biker type that has an engineering degree and knows HVAC systems better than most techs would. His wife cringes when he picks up the phone at night instead of her

And he also knows me on a level that he can get away with that too as I would just give it right back...... :D

Warsh is in the last dryer load, listening to a few episodes of Have Gun Will Travel from the late 50's, located 106 episodes. All alone again this Monday as the boss is teaching again. Hasn't started dumping snow up this away yet.

So sad (but not a surprise to me) to see Cam act like a spoiled child during the post game interview, and then just got up and left. The other Panther players, while not happy about losing, were at least polite and answered all the questions.

    Cam= sore loser

I was actually coming around to liking Cam by the end of this season. Now, not so much.
