With the STRONG El Nino we are supposed to be warmer and far drier out here in the PacNW
    Been far from it though.

I agree on the Panthers game. The Pats/Broncos game was a very defensive one-some prefer those, I like the excitement of an offensive game. I should have included that in the statement.

my superbowl was seeing the seahawks get eliminated.
    nothing tops that.
i have hated them since their inception for replacing the raiders as the regional team i saw each week in the mid 70's.
    yeah, those raiders.
as most of you will recall, you only got 4 games and MNF back then. and you had to switch between channels because they ran the games at the same times.
the hawks took away one of the greatest seasons of one of the greatest teams ever and gave me instead a steady diet of horrible games and hideous uniforms.

    never forget, never forgive.

and i also get to see my PNW friends back home cry.

I should've included I like those also. Only I usually like them when the team I'm pulling for is competitive or is winning.

I sent that pic to the wife she wants me to do the same for ours. Honey, I don't have a snow blower? It won't be cute with the tractor bucket moving all the snow..... that is if we had any snow!

Once I've seen a movie, that is it. Never again. Never holds my interest after the first time. Only exceptions is when there are incredible scenery or a musical. I listen to the news, and listen to some TV. Seldom much on for me. Wife on the other hand, has the tv on all the time. She watches reruns over and over and over and........

    Who'da thunk!

I would'a..... if I actually took the time to thunk.

I was installing a pocket door today and needed to cut down the door just a tad, a half inch, to allow for the constant upheaval here in this circa 1852 house. No biggy really, I got the track saw out and set the door on the pile of flooring we had moved into the room yesterday. IMG_2227.JPG

I hooked up the track saw and the vacuum sitting nearby to the saw's exhaust made the cut and installed the door, finishing about 2:30PM. I cleaned up my mess and moved to the next project: cleaning the pellet stove. This morning about 10:30 AM I had shut the pellet stove down because today was the six bag cleaning day. I had the Ash Vac out also. Yes the very same vacuum I used for cutting the bottom of the door. Not a good idea it turns out.

I normally vacuum the front edge of the flighty ash on the burn tray so as to keep if from floating about the room, and them scrape the burn tray into the ash pan. Normally most of any unburned pellets are scraped off, at least in theory. I turned off the vacuum and moved it aside and suddenly noticed a stream of smoke from the exhaust. I realized immediately what had happened, I popped of the top opened the window and set the can outside. Sitting on top of the can was the ash filter with a small smoldering hole next to the intake , the heat resistant material was ok just the filter material on the inside wasn't. It was the size of an orange by the time I reached the horses water hydrant. The small amount, I thought, of saw dust wouldn't be much of a problem,it had in fact collected there and had ignited. Who'da thunk? Not me!:headbang:

Please feel free to let me know how you feel about this :heidi:

I feel like such an ash. :emb:

i had a customer many years ago with a house on Long Island sound in Madison, CT. spent upwards of 1 mil to renovate the house.... called me to say that he needed a new phone system and wiring because he had placed a plastic 5 gallon bucket of ashes from the fireplace on the wooden deck of this McMansion which had ignited. burnt the place to the ground, but maybe ???????????

so, a minor problem of a burnt filter bag...no big deal. we have all done more dumb things than that:picard::picard::picard: i could start a list...no, i don't want to:whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle::whistle:
