the official site for the combined sports cars (forget the new name) hosts the full races a day or two after they happen. really quality streams.

i'm not sure about the 24 hour events, but iirc, they did have full coverage. or damm close.

ok, the site is still imsa
WeatherTech SportsCar Championship | International Motor Sports Association i believe the races will be under multi media and then "videos" in the drop down. they'll be there somewhere.

pretty sure this is where i was watching them before.

IMSA has some pretty neat in car camera's too. Live stream all night. ;)

My son and I try to stay up to watch the whole thing, But usually crash in the early AM hours. Used to watch speeds coverage and ride around with the incars. FS1 doesn't cover the whole night. Really miss speed channal. FS1 and FS2 stink IMHO!! :fart: :mad:Would rather see MAVTV get the race coverage. Real race channels do a better job on coverage.

Way way back used to go down for speed weeks, My sis used to own a place in Ormond beach. Then hit the Lime rock park when Paul Newman was in the Nissans. Loved watching the Rousch mustangs with Tommy Kendal too.

We watch nascar most every weekend unless the fishing bug calls us to the lake.

Yeah, he is a pretty pup! He is still learning. At 2 years old, he can still be stubborn when it comes to going back inside.

Yeah, they are still best buds. :)

Hard to believe he used to fit through that little kitty door.

This was the last day he made it through. He got stuck and needed a push.

Just a chillin with the kitty cat.
The other half had 3 teeth pulled this morning, and is curled up in the recliner watching TV quietly.

I am just about done with any ambition spurts that might come along this late in the day.

Just shut the little Whit off and fired the big one back up as the house was below 70 F again.

Weather front has passed and the colder air is back in here.

Little Whit will not hack it below about 45 outside and keep the place cozy.

Ahhh well, we play musical stoves AGAIN

Likely clean the little guy in the morning when it's cold.

And again the process goes on and on.

Little stove, big stove, both stoves, big stove, little stove, big stove, no stoves, little stove, big stove, and then back again.

Only 40 miles(ish) away. Just don't have the time like I did when I was younger. Mr Newman was a wheel man. Cat flat out drove the young guns many a races. I got the honor of meeting him and leaning on his ride. Didn't ask for his autograph, Didn't want to push my luck. He was fine as long as it was the racing you were talking about. Once a reporter asked about his next movie or other crap. He went packing towards the trailer.

I got Jack Rouch's and Tommy Kendal's autograph. Mr Said's too.

Hoping to get there this year and see the GT cars, But we will see. Something always seems to bunch up the works. Fingers crossed!!

Speed Channel was doomed with the folks from Fox buying it and wanting to go 24/7 Nascar. :picard: I loved watching so many events on Speed. Nothing has replaced what was a premier Racing channel at one time. I still have my Speed gear! Now I rarely watch any racing.

Love Tony (got to know him some through dirt winged sprints, much different that what you see on TV....), Dale Jr. (was a Sr fan), Carl Edwards (got to know him some too....he raced our USAC Silver Crown car once....really personable guy), love Larson (aka "young money").....he'll be the real deal here shortly, but the "man" is Harvick

i haven't been watching nascar in a good while, but when i was, it really bugged me how guys in the chatrooms etc... would run danica down.
she was consistently better than (at least) half the field, and i never heard a constant outcry against all those back of the field runners.
oh yeah right, they're guys. :picard:

Sorry, but I've been involved in racing for 45 yrs, and I hate to tell you, but Danica is just "average". If many of those guys in "half the field" were to switch w/ her, she'd get really smoked......worse than now. She is simply there to keep a sponsor. $$$$$$
Please notice how other guys like Jr., Tony, Jimmy, etc will take responsibility when they screw-up. Danica always blames someone/something else.

so it's just a better car then?
she can't be the only "average" one out there.

Never said she was the only average one there.....just that she is "average" at best.

Yes, better quality cars run faster. More qualified crew chiefs and engineers on the better teams help a LOT too.

Being a woman and bringing in a big sponsor with $$$$$ helps a lot.
