This past fall, I had to replace one of the shower liners in the shack, and the one I took out was one of those heavy plastic ones, so I cut off the crappy bottom part and made a "custom" snow/ice cover for the Trailblazer windshield. Guess tonight will be it's first test.

    Have I mentioned.... I.HATE.ICE.

Mission accomplished. 180 bags moved to the basement.

Changed snowblower spark plug and oil.
Tightened shear bolts, checked and lubed chute and auger.

Thanks Larry. I actually restacked some of the front ones and took them down a few. The stacks on the left were leaning a bit and didnt want the cats getting buried if they slid, especially if one jumped up on the pile-which they are known to do.

Trust me, I procrastinated as long as I could. If I didnt do it today 35 bags at a time with the truck before it snows tomorrow, it would mean carrying one at a time into the house and down the basement stairs. Been there, done that-it sux

Lots of rain and wind here. Came home from a long day at work, and the winter cover on the pool was no longer "on" the pool. It's now "in" the pool. :headbang::hair: I've been fighting with that stupid cover all fall, and now I guess I'm done fighting it. Was hoping to have a cover on to keep leaves out, and lessen the effect of UV rays on the liner, but I guess that ship has sailed. Gonna have to dig it out tomorrow when the wind dies down a little. According to Accuweather, we're currently under a gale warning, so I'll have to chill out tonight. Could really go for a brew or three, but I'm on call for work, so I'm not imbibing tonight.

Snow tires go on wifey's van tomorrow, just in time for winter.

I wish - on the work program until ? next week. :(

Got up this morning, wife goes 'There's something wrong with the washing machine, it was making a funny sound, I turned it off..", go out and hit the start button, sounds like a couple of playing cards stuck in bicycle spoke wheels. :picard: Oh boy, here we go.

I can build a computer from scratch, re-hone and deck a cylinder block, and do a lot of home repairs when pressed to do so, but washing machines are a mystery to me.. Only experience is watching the bored Maytag Repairman on TV, from years ago. (Ours is a Maytag, hooray.)

It's an older model, 12? years old IIRC, it doesn't owe us anything - just stellar timing, is all.

Good news is the new trailer hitch on the Taurus, and trailer are working excellently, have hauled a bunch of loads of stuff down to the town dump, I may be hauling a washing machine down too, depending on what I find. It may be a simple as a hair pin stuck in the drain motor or a belt, but if it's the transmission, it's not worth repair @ a $350+ replacement part.

Hoping for the best, but pricing a replacement now.. I really need a Beer. :picard:

Never a good time, but just in case-while at Lowes last Saturday drooling over Greene Teames for 350/ton, I noticed they had a good sale running on appliances plus 12 month financing at no interest. Dont know how long it will last and the next good sale time on appliances is a ways away. You may want to look into one quick and set it for free delivery in a few weeks-tell them you cant take delivery right now for whatever reason. If you dont need it, cancel the sale. If you do need it, call and move up the delivery date. Just a thought-you cant go too long without a washer.

Edit-stop by any post office and get a movers packet-they usually have a 10% off coupon for Lowes that can be used for the sale items as well. You may need to go online and tell them you are moving for Lowes to email it to you. I "move" alot

Nice thought. Unfortunately, the European models are usually the most accurate.
