    Found them, but sticker-shock for OEM steelies, more than the tires. :jaw:

    Will be making some calls tomorrow am, we'll see what the local bone-yards say. Will keep everyone posted.

    They should also give you some bottled water, crackers, and a can of cheese-wiz, so you can snack, while waiting for the tow truck. Eesh. :picard:

    Good deal, that's what I would've done also. :yes: All the car companies are doing that, it's just plain stupid to not include any spare in a vehicle. :hair:

    No fear of tire changes also, have the tools (air/impact/jacks), swapping tires isn't a big deal to do here.

    i kept one of my old tires when i got a new set. it's in really good shape w/ lots of tread.
    bought a new steel wheel for the subie for $50 w/ free shipping (the guy was in maine) and now i have a full sized spare as well as the mini OEM one.

    we have the nice rubber mat in the back end of the outback, so i just toss the full sized spare in if we are driving anywhere out of town.

    Yes apparently I've found the new storage space for it, around my waist.:emb:

    The wife and I have begun to drink smoothies for the nutritional value. Uncertain of the effects to the metobolism we were having them in addition to out normal diets. Whoa! we both realized that they need to replace a meal at least. In just four weeks we both feel heavier, not just what the scale told us last week. The wife told me I could cut out any beer.:faint:

    However I mentioned that we should try it in the smoothies.:dex:

    Just got back from a 6 day cruise to the Bahamas! Ate too much, drank too much and now back to work. Still feel wobbly legged.

    Yes was nice to just relax with the family. Vacations are never long enough! It was 85* in Nassau and Freeport! We left from Baltimore and it was 45* when the ship left the dock.

    Just dragged the sleep number mattress out of the bedroom and brought in the replacement. I can't say I'll miss it. Next step is to try to sell it and see how much money I can add to the 'stupid tax' I've paid over the years.

    It just didn't work out for us. Nothing wrong with the product or the concept, but after living with it for four years we realized that it just wasn't meant to be.
