    Eighth Halloween at this house and haven't had a single trick or treater since we have been here. Long dark driveway cuts down on that activity. Got the grand kid's sandbox toys picked up and put in the garage along with the grill, put the sand from the sandbox into the trash can under the back deck besides where the driveway enters the garage. Had a brew, checked on the cider that I have fermenting. Watched some Comet TV and otherwise goofed off for the rest of the day. Watch out for the ticks when playing in the leaves, I managed to pick up one of the b*stards doing what little I did outside today. Tomorrow is a 100% goof off day.

    That was us when we lived in the city. Up here in the sticks there are places that host parties for the kids and have what is known as trunk or treats set up. Being a tenth of a mile off the road and not the first junction off the driveway we are not that easy to find couple that with a general lack of kids in the immediate area leads to a quiet evening.

    Well we got the jalopy loaded for a trip to the recycle bin on the way to the feed store for some chicken scratch. The bin was full so we ended going to the transfer station where the stuff went into the trash stream because there are no single stream recycle bins there. Then it was to the feed store, then back home to clean out the jalopy's a/c system fan. A mouse was in the works, it also had an acorn it ate before getting the fan treatment. damm fans always require one to stand on their heads to get removed. Always something.

    60's a bit cool for shorts to me, But loving this and hope it continues for a while.

    Maybe I should of held off on getting the snow tires? Ahh well. Ordered and on their way. Should have em by the 12th and put on by the weekend!!
