The "Friends of objecting to everything" AKA NIMBYs complain that the windmills are noisy. I drove my car right to the area they are in. I have to say, I couldn't hear anything, no whooching or thumping. I also didn't see dead birds piled up under them. As far a looks go, they look a whole lot better to me than high rise buildings. Oh well, they have to have something to complain about.

Finally got a path to the stove cleared. Tried to start it without my fall cleaning. Rotten results. So I got the leaf blower out and road my mobility cart around the backside of the house. Hitched it up and did the smoke monster thing for a couple minutes. vacuumed out the inside, scraped the burn pot and vacuumed the fans. Turned it on, and bingo, we have a nice fire. Should be all set now. Our gas heat hasn't be hitched up yet in our area of the house. A little pellet heat and we are toasty warm.

Dont worry, I can probably forecast the next steady rain showers. They will be right after my roofing starts ........

But as of now I dont have a start date, so dry it will be :)

After seeing the forecast for the next week, I'm wondering what needs to happen to keep this weather going through March of next year. Mid 70s during the day, 50s at night.

The first few words of this old TV commercial come to mind.

Same here, the forecast looks almost identical to Pete's and loving every minute of it. We do still need some rain though!

Another keyboard bites the dust. I had worn off the e, s, j, k, and n. (home base basod )

Woke up this morning and my coffee cup from last night was tipped over just perfectly to spill directly onto the keyboard. I always assumed it was our cat finding trouble at night, guess it was the dogs all along (cat in kitty heaven now).

:emb:Yes, I keep a new spare  Most of the time its a dog underfoot that catches a the cord while trying to bark at whatever and the keyboard hits the ground......... Still surprised the tipped over coffee cups were not the cat.

We have acres and acres of those out here, they are by themselves in pastures with no homes in sight near them.

funny your were messing with keyboards, I was trying to find a mouse that worked - with the old school green jack at work today - attempting to resurrect a Win2000 server.
Even broke out the keyboard/mouse two in one - probably spiffy hardware back in 1996:D

sad part is I have 10 of them networked running four 40million dollar gas turbines:headbang:
Taking servers virtual is about the only economical fix - spend 2mil to upgrade everything or patch it 30k at a time

I had a heck of a time today with my desk top. Windows 10 was having a major case of constipation. The start, button, cantor, and windows edge and one drive would not work. I tried and tried to fix it. no results. So I just reinstalled windows 10. Now edge is the only thing not working. I am trying to fix that. No idea what happened. more "stuff happens"

That is a feature, it has been in Windows since day 1, when I feel a case of windows homesickness about to take place I change my screen saver to BSOD and set the timer to a minute or so for activating.

The weather service has already posted freeze watches for late tomorrow into Friday for parts of the state.
