yes, that works, but I have to tell you I hate meat cooked in the microwave. OK for steaming veggies, or making popcorn, but for me, NO Microwave meats. I don't mind sliced roast beef served cold. Just don't want to heat up the place.

Usually, but I haven't been up there so I don't know how it is holding. I left two big air conditioning units in the windows when I moved downstairs. My windows here are sliders except for one. That was the way I wanted it. so I am limited to the floor models that have the tube going out the window. Better for me because I can't lift them, but I can push them about on their wheels. It is the humidity that is bad. I do have dehumidifiers I can run, but they give off a lot of heat. I would rather run AC which cools and dehumidifies.

So the US Weather Service called and asked if I could plan something cause the NE is getting a little too hot and they need some rain. I says me and wifey are planning on getting a little scoot to Vermont and spending a few days and nights in Lake George at the Adirondack Nationals. Hows that ?

Great they said, that should do it. Thanks

3 of the 4 days supposed to rain.

    Your welcome.

    Doggy

Still have two of them in the basement. Why, I have no idea. Every couple years I fire one up and play some 30 year old games. Same reason I kept the Atari 2600 I had when I was a kid.

Oh that is the best. I had an Amiga 1000 followed by an Amiga 500. Two of the best gaming machines in memory. Of course the Atari 2600 long before as well. And a Commodore 64 in between. To think how many hours of my life were spent playing Bard's Tale on that C64. Those were the good old days. Somewhere in my basement I still have a large cardboard box full of the original boxes for many of the games I had for those systems.

I have an Amiga 500 and a 1000. I sold the 2000 and 1200 a few years ago. Still have a VIC-20, a couple C-64s, a 128-D and a crapload of floppy disks. I even had a CD-32 which I sold for more than I bought it new for. That doesn't happen often with computer equipment.

My favorite was the 1200 (was nice to have an AGA machine), but the system board took a dump and it wasn't worth me fixing.

I spent a lot of time when I was a kid typing in programs out of magazines. I tried explaining that to my daughter who asked me why I just didn't download the game on my phone. I now understand how my parents felt.

I bought one like that after we had a baby. We had it in our bedroom. We vented the exhaust through a window but I could still feel the heat it put off. A few years later we bought another one while in a travel trailer during fire evactuations (no entry per law enforcement even though we had a larger model in the garage :headbang:). We vented the smaller one through the stovetop exhaust in the trailer. Worked great, except it was a very small area.... I feel very fortunate to be able to use swamp coolers if needed.

Definitely 5.25" floppies if you were lucky, otherwise you had a cassette drive. Only the Commodore 16+4 and SX-64 were grey from what I remember. The rest were tan or beige.

Wonder if you had a Trash-80 (AKA Tandy TRS-80).

Commodore sounds more familiar. Some not so fun games that the pinball machine and Atari quickly replaced  , and DOS looking typing on the screen. Fun stuff!!, reminds of the WKRP in Cincinnati thread going right now too!

We have a couple of those stand up air units too Larry. If I got it as close to the window as possible, the better. That exhaust hose puts out a lot of heat so making it as short as possible seems to help.
