This is actually pretty close to true story. I still have ten bags of GS I bought a little while ago in my Jeep because I don't have any room.

I would push the Jeep off a cliff just to get rid of the Green Supremes. ..You can always get another Jeep! Truth be told, If the Jeep caught fire and the GS' s opened, I would bet a year of my salary that they would snuff the flames out!

I am still getting plenty of cherry tomatoes from the single plant that we started from seed. damm those things are like candy :)

Also, we planted a cucumber plant from seed that has yielded sooooooo many cucumbers. Never expected that. I might try pickling some.

Anyone around here know how to get pickled?

Same here on the weather!! Great weekend for an air show in Brunswick. Unfortunately they seem to have dropped the ball on this one and scaled back on both the performers as well as static displays. Add to that 30-40 dollar admission, a 2.5 hour drive each way, 4 hours to get out of the parking lot several years ago and it means we are passing on this one-it just does not add up for what is being offered. Too bad, I was really looking forward to this when they announced the Blue Angels and F22 Raptor. :(

You can watch small prop planes do corkscrews for so long and it gets boring-the military jets, other squadron type performers, paratroopers and big names are the real draw. Sean Tucker and Rob Holland are always at these shows, but both of them are in Cleveland this weekend. Mike Guolian is another big draw but he is absent here too. No Golden Knights paratroopers-anothet staple at every airshow I have been to (They are in Cleveland too). Guess we should have gone to Cleveland

I tried to talk myself into going, but just cant seem to do so. Looks like we should have gone to Chicopee Mass this past May for the Thunderbirds. Seems that the airshows on active bases are much more exiting-and free general admission. Had this been at Pease in NH we would have gone even with the scaled back show-the drive would have been 30 minutes and we know where to park off site and walk in to avoid traffic.

We live 25 minutes from the air show, but never go. Can't deal with crowds.

We started getting the reserved seating about 10 years ago. If paying 30 bucks gen admission, another 10 to get away from the crowds is worth it.
When Brunswick was active, reserved seating was only 15 bucks and that was when we first tried it-and liked it

Yep, I know how to get pickled. However there be folks on here that are experts at that. As for pickling cucumbers, that is quite easy as well.

oh yes, and so delicious! When the kids moved us downstairs, they threw out all our preserved and pickled stuff. Jars and all. I wasn't too happy about it, but what could I do after the fact. We did have way to much. That has always been an issue with us. There has to be a happy medium. I just haven't found it yet.

We go through a lot of pickles and relishes. I got a lot of my jars through my eldest daughter helping people clean out their places in preparation for downsizing or entering retirement communities and the like. That was a waste of jars.
