I'll play with the all in one when I feel like it. Just didn't feel like it and needed something that I could rely on.

I like Canon or Brother for their all in one. I've had my share of HPs that always fall apart and cost way too much for their ink. I have used generic ink now for a very long time with NO problems. I don't print many photos for framing. I can get those done at Sam's for less and have better quality. I fix up the pictures to what I want, then go to Sam's web site and download them for printing. Pick them up later with excellent results.

I had a Canon for many a year didn't quite have the issues as I had with the Epsons or Lexmarks but it also suffered from the same issue just took longer. Had excellent luck with the impact printers and absolutely loved the daisy-wheel with a mylar once through ribbon. Even had an old tank that just took up too much room, was less than quiet, electricity consuming: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Decwriter.jpg that I used on a handy dandy Tandy COCO. A freind got about a dozen of them in payment for removing them from where they were. I got one of them in payment for constructing a cable and providing a driver so they could be reliably used as a printer or terminal on his computer.

    Thats awesome Larry !!

I really miss a gas stove. Stove top at least-I guess that the oven doesn't really matter as much and some say electric is better in that area? Either way, gas is the way to go !!!!

Until yesterday when the humidity finally broke, using the oven would have been off limits for sure

Probably shouldn't jinx myself this way, but I've had an Epson Photo RX595 all-in-one for about 4 years.....works great, super easy scans. <fingers crossed> Replacement cart (6) can be had aftermarket pretty cheap and seem to work as well as OEM.

It is about time I got the stove I wanted. For 40+ years she said "NO" When we were in military housing, a gas stove blew up in her face while she was trying to lite the oven with a match. You can't lite the oven with a match on this new stoves.
I told her over and over, that we can control the heat better with gas. We just switched from oil to gas for the hot water and central heat so this was my chance to move on the gas stove issue again. Our kids are fearful that their mother will burn the house down. At least part of the stove will work if we have a power outage. I want to try some breakfast eggs and bacon on the grill. Maybe so blueberry pancakes.

    Nice Save!

Question, how do you use part of the stove during an outage if you cannot light it with a match?
