Picked up my Geospring water heater today. Won't be installed for a few weeks, need to burn off the remaining propane. Switching from a 500 gallon tank in the middle of the yard to a 100 gallon tank along the house. Between the geospring and the Revolution (whenever that comes in...:headbang:) I should burn very little propane in the future. Mission accomplished.

Wifey and I cleaned this morning, she's got ribs cooking and making potato salad. I got basketball and the walking dead. It's raining and cool out, so the CC will be good for today.

Today was a GREAT day. Yesterday at work a customer called in. He got a new piano for his wife in their living room and the heat their woodstove threw off is too much and too dry for the piano to handle. His exact question "I have a Quadrafire 3100 freestanding that I just took out of my house and it's on my porch, do you know anyone that will haul it off for me?"

me- "Why yes sir, I do, are you busy tomorrow?"

him- "I have church in the morning, can you come by around 2?"

me- "Why yes sir I can"

him- "How much are you going to charge me to haul it off?"

me- "nothing, can I have your address?"

I got a super pristine Quad 3100 with gold trim door for free today. It's on CL for $900 obo right now. Everything about it is in perfect shape, I was amazed. It was definitely "gently" used.

    I love my job :D

Today was a long day. My work day that started at noon Saturday wrapped up at 2 AM Sunday. Slept for a few hours, made the drive home, got a few things done around the house, then took a nap.

Grandma came over to watch the kid while my wife and I went to see Bryan Adams in concert tonight. Very good show.

    Now it's bedtime....

Got a call from the my doc's office,
Knee is f'ed up. Torn meniscus, bone bruising, bone fracture with compaction. So that is why it hurts like hell. Still don't want pain meds.
So now the are trying to hook me up with orthopedics.
All this from stepping off a step the wrong way.
I'm too old and too fat for this. I just want it all to go away.

Shut the Fahrenheit off yesterday for the first time in a long, long time. It hit 62 yesterday. Woke up this morning and the house was 65. Turned on the oil furnace for 10 minutes to take the chill off the house. Yes, that could be considered a sin, I know. Its only the second time it ran this year, first time was in the fall just to make sure it works. I think that puts my yearly oil usage up to a quart.

I'll probably use the wood eater at nights for a while unless the cold settles back in. I've got somewhere around 1.5 ton of pellets left, and I'd like to keep as much of the stash as possible for next season.

Paid the second half of the semiannual property taxes today. Amazing how much poorer that makes me feel, but at least is it over for now. When I think of all the stuff they spend it on and the "must haves" the schools demand that didn't even get considered when I was a kid, it makes me sick just how easy it is for our money to be taken away for things are really are not essential for town services and schools. I do go to the town meeting and vote but there are so many who don't pay much for taxes who vote for every thing they can't provide for on their own dollar. :hair: Ok enough ranting. The sun is out for a change. I hope to hobble out and sit in it for a while. No snow predicted for the rest of the week. Temps up to 40F so there should be some slow melting. I noticed that up to where the icebreaker came, the ice is out shore to shore. Stove is off again today.

Ugh. It's beautiful in NW OH...65 degrees and sunny...oh, and 40 mph wind gusts. There goes doing anything productive outside. Almost got knocked over three different times. I wanted to smoke up some ribs and chicken today on my new Weber Smokey Mountain, and it's too windy to get anything going, even inside the garage.

It was nice here today to, not 75 but we'll take it. Got home from work and took the plow off the 4-wheeler. We bought our son a used 110 wheeler and he and I rode up and down the drive for awhile. He was loving it. Nice to be out in the fresh air.

62 yesterday at this time, 32 now according to my thermometer. Welcome to spring. Now there is talk about freezing rain Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I won't complain if that doesn't happen.
